About 75 renders in a week... It's not a lot, considering they need thousands of them for an update. I don't think they have a dozen of PCs with 4090 graphic cards rendering 24/7. They should have adapted the project to their capacities. We are pirates, I don't pay shit so I don't talk about me, but I think they would get more patrons if they would be able to deliver an update every month or two months. I don't know about you, but I don't even remember half the plot and characters. Eve, of curse, Bree... I don't remember the name of none of the others. Maintaining the hype and getting people engaged is important, and it's difficult with an update every year.
I agree. I would be happy to receive updates for 10-15 minutes every month. Rather than waiting for an unknown what 12 months.

update every month or two months
Lmao, yeah you are funny. Feel free to share any games who put out this level of visual quality ( and density) that can release an update every month. There are none. It's impossible.

but I don't even remember half the plot and characters
Just replay the whole thing next update then? It's not that long and even if it was, if you like the game and don't remember it well there should be no reasons to for you to not have a good time. Plus SH is really not a tedious game to replay. The roaming events are super streamlined, there are not maze or puzzlely like a lot AVNs.

Maintaining the hype
"Hype" is the enemy of enjoyment for AVNs and all video games.

It's been a bit more than 6 months now and they could release an update who is a bit bigger than the last one right now. But it's honestly better to go for double. A bigger chunkier update will be more enjoyable for us and it would be a risk for them not to after the small backclash of 0.6 ( judged too short by most peoples) It's in there interest to go for something bigger.

Ah man, speaking my language here. I hate drip feed for this EXACT reason. I really genuinely enjoy some of these stories and what is happening in them. But on the flip side it absolutely blows when people get too ambitious and end up trying to raise the bar, or produce something thats like AAA tier quality (more or less) and they cant follow a schedule. The novel blows you away visually and has a solid foundation, but sadly, the update schedule is non-existent.

I don't pay shit so I don't talk about me, but I think they would get more patrons if they would be able to deliver an update every month or two months.
Then, not only do you get stuck usually downloading a massive file for an update, but you forget 80% of the content and the new content is like.... 20 minutes worth of renders most of the time, with maybe 1-2 animations. Which is why I dont support a LOT of these projects on patreon, I will buy the download on itch at best anymore. I respect people for wanting to support dev's and of course I absolutely encourage it. But logistically you're spending probably anywhere around $200-600 for a dropped or finished product through a lower tier support role.

Idk I'd definitely take a title of slightly lower quality that can meet at least pump out an update every month or two. Or even just some refresher updates from time to time to atleast keep my head in the story vs a super ambitious project thats got between a 6-12 month wait for a "chapter" so to speak. It's unfortunate but its become sort of a meta to draw out a project since if it ends off on a high note, you're more likely to hold supporters, than risking a bad update and losing supporters. (of course, not saying its definitely the case here, but its a reoccurring theme of sorts in the entire gaming industry.)

Render count update based on numbers from the weekly reports:

0.7 Status Update #28
Current total renders: 2277 (+75)
Weekly average: 81.32 (-0.24)
Rolling 4-week average: 77.50 (+/- 0.00)
2200 Renders for + 7 Months waiting time is not much in my opinion...I hope the toaster upgrade is worth it because if not... wow

My guess is about 35 years ago.
That would be super weird. Whether she would be the one lactating or the one breastfeeding, 7 years old is definitely not the age for either of those lol

Well it also depend which Ms Hill we where talking about i guess. Cassandra is around 35 i think and she might be a mom so "35 year ago" would still be wrong^^

My point is, if you can't do a big game and provide regular updates, do a small one. Two Lis instead of eight: the sweet girl next door the MC knows since kindergarten Vs the new mysterious and smoking hot dark gothic girl that just met, for example. Who will win MC's heart -and cock? Something like that, simple, modest. Less writing, less 3D model design, less branches to fit. Updates every two months, maintaining patrons engaged, making a name for themselves in this "industry" and, if things go as they should and cash start flowing, use the money for getting better resources, more PCs for rendering, hire someone to help with coding, things like that, and then you can add new characters, branches... or just finish this game and make a new, more ambitious one. Don't start big, and then, don't deliver.

I disagree. If it weren't for their huge ambitions, we wouldn't have what we have now.
