Not really, five is a very reasonable number. It's not so difficult to handle five love interests, a lot of popular AVNs even deal with more. On the ther hand, there's maybe to much focus on Helen  or the ember girls.
Agreed. But at the speed the story is progressing and the amount of time it takes between updates, any reasonable number becomes unreasonable and downright annoying. And for real, they better reveal something interesting about Helen (like she's a hot, undercover detective in disguise who's here on a investigative mission, idk) in the upcoming updates, because at this point I can't see what's she bringing to the story.

Helen is only there to give Mike something to do while MC is poonhounding the main LIs.

Or maybe MC is there to fuck everyone, and Helen is there to fuck everyone up.

But really, for now her name, Helen, is ironical. If later it is revealed, she actually lives up to it, that would be a sweet surprise.

Am I the only one that don't care if an AVN ends or not? Unless the game has an engaging mystery that I want to be solved what should I care for the ending?
I care to have good content per update. If this game or any other I like gets abandoned what makes me sad isn't that I haven't seen the ending, what makes me sad is not getting more content.

I do think it’s a shame when something becomes predictable like that, especially when you’re somewhat invested yourself. In my opinion, many devs already fail at the planning stage or the overall vision they set for themselves. A lot of them don’t even reach the stage that Summer Heat has reached — and even here, there’s still a lot that needs to be delivered in terms of story and everything else.

I think it bothers me less if the yearly updates actually provide content that has impact. That’s what’s still missing for me here (especially after the last update) and what I’m hoping the upcoming update will make up for.

It’s only logical that many projects with poor pacing eventually fall apart — unless they’re the really big ones with thousands of subs, where the creators can easily live off the money even during long pauses. You just have to accept that you can’t change it anyway.

So I try to think in stages now, and I just hope for solid content from update to update.

Status Update #60

Hello there!

Hope you've had a good week, or if not, hope that your weekend is going better.

We've had an interesting week! Surgeries and lots of driving. While sourcing parts for our animation rig, we came across an opportunity to grab ourselves a new-ish 4090 in near perfect condition. And it wasn't a tortured mining or gaming card either! Big win. Instead of sitting in some student's gaming PC, it will get to calculate and render pixels for us, and you.

Now, this didn't go as smoothly as we had hoped. Hardware wise we were prepared at least, which saved some headache. We're also going to use a similar dual-GPU build in our next rig. We still have a moment to wait and see if Daz is going to update, in which case we could potentially get some newer generation cards. But for consistency we might need to get some veteran 4090s instead, just so we won't have to worry about what could go wrong next.

There are some great gains coming up from this, which we greatly look forward to sharing. Animation rendering times, which have been quite relevant lately, are about to become a problem of the past. But we'll save that topic for when we can show it.

All that aside, we also made new animations and renders for an outside scene this week. Originally we had quite a variety branch for the animations in this scene, but the rendering times are abysmal. We're still keeping the choice branches as intended though because we always end up regretting it when we change or cut things.

We also made some of the "extra" renders which have been waiting on the backburner. For example, Bree is now in the audio screen in the beginning of the game to remind you to set your volumes, unless you prefer your own music or perhaps mommy ASMR. Or silence, that also works for many.

Bree also happens to be wearing one of our very own clothing assets in this render, a comfy sports bra which can slide easily in any direction.

A little list of what we've done as well:

Finished a parts list

Dialogue changes

Missing graphics made

Pokethrough fixes

New renders & animations

Next week, we're looking to assemble a PC and finish some post-production tasks. We're also reaching a point where we can start to consider beta version testing.

Cheers and thanks for reading,

Robison & Npx

Can't they afford the 5090?:WaitWhat::WaitWhat::illuminati::illuminati::unsure::unsure:
No, it's a DAZ thing if i'm not mistaken. I don't know much about this kind of stuff. But i think it's not doing very well with newer cards or something like that.

Good. Maybe mid or end of December then. If everything go well.

The answer is here:

Daz don't support 5090 yet, I think Drpinkcake from Badik said there's a beta DAZ version that supports it, but probably buggy I would assume

Okay, they’re considering that beta testing could start soon. Right now, it still sounds purely hypothetical. Without an actual announcement confirming it, it’s just a general statement for the time being. Either way, I think it’s going to be very tight for a release this year, but I’d be happy to be surprised.
