I personally don't trust the statement since this limited day/night cycle makes it very difficult but I already mentioned many times that I'm absolutely no fan of this "limited" storytelling where you get HALF a day per update. Doesn't do it for me and will most probably be the reason for this game never to be finished if I'm being honest.

If you are not one of those "if no sex = bad" type of guy and that you like the game thus far, there really are no reasons for you to be worried about then.

I would be more than ok with no sex at all in this update and I have liked the game so far, but I also think this update is going disappointing. It doesn't seem like the update will come out before July, so we will most likely be venturing into the 11-12 months waiting period and with such a long wait people is going to have some hefty expectations that I'm not sure they will be able to satisfy.

Hello again, and thanks for your help. I have to say that it's not that I confused O with 0, but rather that I didn't do the previous step of creating the .rpy file , I just didn't understand it. I don't know anything about programming/development or how these games are created or modified, so I need you to tell me step by step what I should do. That is: 1st - I create the file with the 3 lines of Python from Notepad and save it... but with what name?
2nd - I change it or save it with the .rpy extension.
3rd - I put it in the /game folder.
4th - With the game running (playing, I suppose), press SHIFT+O and write the 3 lines...

init 999 python:
config.console = true
config.developer = true

but where? Sorry for my clumsiness. And thx a lot again!

If you are on Windows, the simplest thing to do is get this utility:

You must be registered to see the links

Copy the batch file to the root folder of the game (the one with the executable in it) and run it. Pick option 3 to enable the console.

Right click and save as.
Put it in the folder called 'game'.
Reopen game and start or load a save (It won't work on the main menu).
Use shift-o to open console command.
And then do whatever you were trying to do.

Status Update #36

Hello everyone!

This week we continued working on main girl scenes. Mainly Sophie and a little bit of Bree.

This weekend we'll be doing some scripting, reading and processing a set of renders into their final form. Eve's scene is also starting to shape with the latest batch of renders added in. We'll be returning to her scene in the near future to do some little tweaking.

Robison has also continued making some clothes we can use in the future.

It's a small wardrobe overhaul but generally they're going to help us with scene creation and bending the clothes to our will without too much struggle. They have potential. One of these outfits also belongs to Bree, perhaps you can guess which one.

We'd like to have more soft clothing in our animations, but that challenge will have to stay on the back burner for a while still. It is possible, but it requires some more practice of the dark arts.

Next week starts the Bree content grind.

If we're really positive... the July 25th status will say the release date is August 22nd. (They always give the date 4 weeks in advance). But only if we all use our positive energy. If anyone doesn't... it'll be October.

When your workflow brings you to a point where you can deliver ONE update per year adding more spicy stuff should be a given imo. The last two updates had some kind of Summer is gone syndrome but I guess the majority doesn't care about explicit sexual content. To me it would be a huge waste to not finally add explicit sex content when you crafted some of the most beautiful girls in the AVN Genre. I can only repeat myself: When it comes to art (renders/animations/models) this AVN is one of the best but in terms of progress/sexual content it's another slowburn but since they decided to limit themselves with the "half day per update" cycle it is what it is...

Yeah i got you, expecting that based on the long wait is normal. They should make quicker updates with less progress or slow ones with more content.

That's the sad reality of creatives here. They start off strong, then stagnate, followed by burn out because their efforts can't keep up with their ambition. I hope that Northpx doesn't end this game in a unsatisfactory manner like a manhwa that has potential and just nosedives after a couple hiatuses and they chuck in a forced ending.

Summer Heat does feel like something that should be going on for awhile. But at this rate im not sure about that lol. Let's hope for the best

Honestly, that’s the risk with most ambitious VNs—especially ones that rely on long dev cycles and a huge cast. If the team doesn’t scale back scope or tighten production, you either get eternal development hell (cough* PTR cough) or a half-baked ending to ‘just finish it.’

Summer Heat’s updates already feel like they’re on life support: short chapters, yearly waits, and barely any plot momentum. At this rate, it’s either gonna get axed mid-arc or rush into some deus ex machina ending. Shame, because the art and setup had potential. But yeah, unless they pivot hard (fewer characters? shorter routes? idk), it’s kinda doomed to fizzle out
