Earlier in the game, Max informed Summer that someone died in the apartment upstairs and now they were fumigating it. Later SumSum meets a rat on the way to work and decides to befriend it, and when she gets there, the police are talking to Max. I'm not implying Max did anything, but SumSum is a magnet for coincidences.
