If the card is saved as webp then all of the metadata of the characters is lost and that card is useless. Either save the card as PNG, or contact the author of the card to send you the original PNG files.
Oh ok... So basically is it impossible to use cards from yuki portal unless you contact the author?, because I think all the cards from there download as a webp

Yes, Samabake, or any other Illusion/Illgames that lets you share characters, only use PNG files with embedded metadata on it, so you can't load webp unto these games. Even if you convert the webp image back to PNG it won't load because the webp image itself doesn't contain character data.

I just now know what yuki-portal is lol, and it seems that it it depends on the poster in regards to sharing the PNG. They can choose to post only image, or they can also upload their creation to share with others. So while you can browse any post, only post with download button that allows you to download PNG with characters/scene data on it.

Just check the post you wanted, if it has the blue download button, you can have the PNG, if not, well good luck contacting the author to share their creation.

EDIT: damn yuki portal has some seriously good character design, much better than the official card uploader. Too bad some of the characters card isn't shared and some are password protected.

People of F95, maybe one of you can help me to better understand this... so during my most recent playthrough one of my girls was fucked by a schemer character via the "Let me hold you" command. Now she won't let me kiss, grope or have sex with her, I can only bring her into private rooms for H but anywhere outside its a 0% chance for those 3 interactions... any specific reason for this?, like a hidden variable or something? any way to revert it?

This is going to be a long-winded rant, but I can't help but feel disappointed about this game at the moment. I had some decent fun playing it at first, as it was a step up in terms of gameplay compared to whatever the hell KK/KKS considers to be ""gameplay"" (KK obviously still wins on the character customization front though, because of the modding gap). NPCs actually interacting and having opinions of and relations with each other is just cool to experience.

However, hearing parallels and comparisons to AA2 (Unlimited) made me curious and after trying it, I can now this is hardly an upgrade. It's more like a pretty sidegrade.

All SVS has going for it versus AA2U at the moment is that the graphics are way better and the interface is more modern and intuitive. That's it. If you're overly into gameplay over graphics like I am, then I recommend you to just go play AA2U because:
  • The school setting of AA2 feels more purposeful than SVS's summer vacation setting, because Illusion did nothing to make you feel like it's summer except for changing the map. In AA2 you had exams, clubs, locker rooms. In SVS you do part-time work (they could at least have a mechanic where I earn a wage for this shit. They had that in Room Girl!) and... BBQ every Sunday. How riveting.
  • The exams made stats like intelligence and strength matter more than just a simple "this character likes you a bit better because you're smart or strong." AA2U's modded modules add some more interesting interactions and mechanics to personalities based on stats as well.
  • AA2's map is much larger. In SVS it feels tiny even with just 12 out of the possible 24 characters in a roster; there's practically nowhere to go for one-on-one interactions excluding the three "private zones." Yes this matters because I want to be able to talk with characters uninterrupted; you can't talk in those zones, you can only get frisky.
  • Speaking of interruptions, holy shit it's bad in SVS. The whole game fast-tracks relationship build-up, so everyone ends up bonding and wants to talk all the time. If there's even just three other people crowded around you, good luck trying to get anything done because you're gonna be stuck in an endless interruption loop. Take the character you're actually trying to talk with to a different area and surprise! There's already someone else there wanting to interrupt you because fuck you.
If you just want to nut & go, then SVS is fine. Nothing to really say there. But I can't help but feel like SVS could have been a lot more. No the update adding 8 personalities will not fix the game because all it's doing is adding more characters who are going to interrupt me for the gazillionth time, just with different voices. If this is all the updates/expansions are going to be, then it's over.

I shouldn't be complaning this much about a porn game. I admit it's unfair to compare AA2U, which is heavily modded, to SVS. Maybe I shouldn't expect Illusion to add more to their games, even if it's been 10 years since AA2. They can just do more asset flips of their old games, slap on watered-down mechanics, and earn money. They're done innovating. They should just drop that from their name and rebrand again as "LLGAMES," Lazy and Lackluster. Hopefully modders can make this game great, because Illusion won't.

Is ILLGAMES the only 3D JP porn company left along with KISS anyway? Not that there were many to begin with.

I feel like Illusion they didn't realize they were on to something with Koikatsu and kinda failed to capitalize on it. After School was pretty lackluster.
I'd take an AA2 in the KK school and surroundings, no problem, especially if mods made it easy to tweak the AI. Imagine running around in the KK school trying to avoid your Evil-Jealous-Lucky waifu, knife in hand.

I'd even say more, if someone just want a quick fap meterial, Honey Come is better anyways, same graphics and character creator, but more positions and an actually 3D rooms.

So vanilla SVS just have no reason to exist currently, all hope on modders.

I think people should just follow CAPCOM/Resident Evil 5 - Gold Edition DLC advice: "Don't like it? Don't buy."
Well, most people around aren't the type who actually purchases ILLGAMES products so, maybe "don't like it? don't play." is a more relevant advice.

...
  • Speaking of interruptions...
For the third time, to greatly reduce the odds of interruptions make the characters get along with each other.

How to do that?
Whenever you get interrupted, tell the interrupting character to get along with the one you're talking to and vice-versa.
Continuing like that, the characters in question will eventually become friends, or better yet partners.

Why characters becoming partners is better than friends?
Simply because, partners characters do not interrupt their partners, period!
No to mention, it makes threesomes much easier to happen.

Don't believe me?
Just try it yourself.

It... It really didn't add much tbh, and I've been trying all sorts of combinations for years. Plus it was still largely limited by the small amount of voicelines per personalities that were in the game, often times making it feel unimmersive or tacked-on.

Meanwhile, I'm still discovering new voicelines or behaviors/reactions with SVS that will never be a thing in AA2U (someone had mined tons of voicelines a while ago).
But regardless, the AI definitely needs some tweaking in some areas, I really hope they do balance patches every now and then.

Lol, so your solution to everything is to simply shutting your mouth?
What if I wanted to simply voice my op- NO! YOU SHUT YOUR MOUTH! DON'T LIKE IT? DON'T PLAY IT!

after trying this;
it's better than Koikatsu in some respect, they've at least got the gals/guys talking to each other and nominally banging hips, emergent gameplay in other words.

Problem is that they don't really seem to have a handle on it; neither NPC's nor the player have enough to do;

what would benefit Illgames in the long run is to shift focus to at least a few games where sex isn't the overwhelming focus, at least temporarily, and try at developing skills/abilities in the areas where they were clearly finding problems in while they were their prior incarnation.

Is ILLGAMES the only 3D JP porn company left along with KISS anyway? Not that there were many to begin with.
Yes, they're the only proper company that still running around releasing games specialized in 3D. And Illgames(Illusion 2.0) is the only one that release fully interactive games. Kiss one is too restrictive in regards to customization and interactivity.

Of course there are many that released 3D H-games, but only a handful that is high quality, and among them there's only 2 that are proper company (and specialized in 3D games). Most of the others are small teams/ doujin circle level on size.

I feel like Illusion they didn't realize they were on to something with Koikatsu and kinda failed to capitalize on it. After School was pretty lackluster.
AFAIK, Illusion have teams divided on the game looks, anime-ish and real-ish, and they mostly develop games in about 6 month interval (some are even less!). The very tight schedule maybe the reason they can't stick on one game and really polished it to perfection.

If we see Illusion game release, between AA1 (2011) and AA2 (2014) there's EIGHT games released with totally different concept and ideas. On one hand this really shows Illusion prowess in creativity and rapid execution, but on the other hand this makes them can't support and really tinker with the game more than a few month after the game released (the source of the Illusion Grief Cycle LOL). One thing for sure is that Illusion always carry their graphic advancement on their next games, that's why we can see Koikatsu is much more polished games than AA2.

Unto the Illgames, Samabake is basically the modern Koikatsu with much more improved graphics but reduced gameplay. Maybe because they're still new companies and doesn't have the amount of staff of the Illusion team, and maybe because they just wanted to test the water. Seeing the sale result and the customer reception, we can cautiously optimistic that the next game of Illgames will be much more "complete" (just be aware of the Illusion Illgames Grief Cycle lol). I really hope they don't repeat Illusion's past mistakes which is releases too much games in very short times, and be more focused on creating better gameplay that satisfying and lasts long time.

Sad thing is this is how they make any money - only when they sell the new game. They don't have expansive DLC clothes store to cell them for real money or any sizable amount of merch or even mascots (Pal could do, I guess). I'd take quick turnover rate over some shitty subscription model any day.
