I'm assuming you are installing from 0. Just tried, 99.999% works on win 10 with JP locale.
1) Download "Better Repack" version. Pretty sure it's not hard to find, 100% can find sukebei mew mew site... Unpack.
2) Download the dlc for new personalities. Installer will not work, just browse dlc folders a bit and copy paste files to main game. 2D GF versions from mew site works just fine. Not sure on what version is needed (personally just downloaded both).
3) Download and install the HF patch. 1.4 link is on this forum page.
Aaaand done.
Did not play dlc for a lot. Starting the game, adding new characters (new personality) and talking to them worked just fine. In game character downloader also works just fine.

any idea on what I'm meant to do with this since it hfpatcher didn't do anything with it I had downloaded it from the "

feels like hfpatcher also added next to nothing despite everything being ticked including the 22gb of characters/outfits yet only like 30 characters saved also prob doesn't help somehow the mod folder is empty

Hmm ... I can see the gardener set but not the Fujin set (pre order bonus for personalities DLC). Maybe I need to download it separatelly ? I only installed main game update + dlc from a fev pages back. did you installed HF patch with hardmod pack ?

If so I have one last question, is it possible to use an emulator to play like mobox or joiplay??

Searching mobox gives me shady NFT, and Joyplay AFAIK doesn't work with Unity nor mod an unity game to be playable on a smartphone.... And it doesn't matter, I don't think any actual phone is capable of running it.

On the other hand, a Steam Deck or anything similar is guaranteed to run it.

The "*.002" file... you just delete it. It's useless without other parts of 7zip file. No idea how it got into main game folder...
When 9/9/2024 guide was written, there was no personality dlc, less outfits dlc etc... So it's already old guide.
If you do the "BetterRepack+dlc+HF1.4" game folder will look like this (img below).
Default options from HF patch.
The "Plugin_Backup.zip" can also be deleted, I'm just keeping it for... why not.

Sorry to bother you with it too, but, did you managed to find the pre-order bonus set (Fujin, not gardener or Raijn) ? I'm trying to find it, but It seems to be missing from 1.4 HF patch.

For some odd reason, I cannot save my game when I play it. Anybody know how to fix this? The files are present in the save folder, but the game doesn't read nor load them, only an old autosave

I think it's the HF patch that has an option to install a mod that adds 2 or so extra zones in the map.
I also remember reading in 4chan that someone was working to port AA2 maps into SVS

I just realized that during H-scenes, if your camera is right up to a girl's crotch when she squirts, there's little droplets that appear on your screen... Somehow still finding new things with this game

What is the size of this game after extracting all the files? It looks to be ~6GB prior, but as I started extracting, it inflated to 25+ very quickly. Want to know if I have enough space for this game.

Windows says game's folder is 23.6gb. I have downloaded better repack, newest game update that added new personalities and then installed hf patch on top of it all(I've used default install options, didn't change anything, so no excessive mods).

I just got the character add-on pack, but when I try to head outside with the new personalities, I get the infinite loading.

-First, I used the folder with the latest HF Patch update and am running in Japanese System Local, but it still has infinite loading

-Then I did a clean reinstall with no HF patch or mods, ran with system locale, and it still loads infinitely.

-Then I updated to 1.1.1, again no patch or mods, and still got infinite loading

Does anyone know the problem here?

I don't know if you still have this problem but I did too. I thought it was some characters with mods not playing well that was causing it and after taking them out the game loaded. So I thought maybe if I take all the mods off of them they'll load and they did except for one.

I don't know if this solution will work for people with this problem but what I did next was take the original card (before I removed the clothing/hair mods) and for most articles of clothing there is a checkbox named something like "body adjustment". After I checked all the boxes that need to be checked and took them into the game, the game loaded. Simple solution for a seemingly confusing problem but it worked for every card I was having problems with. So if you're still having problems this may help.

What are the new areas? Is the forest and campsite it or am I missing something?
