1. Work on Summer with Mia ACT4
(We will start working on ACT4 and a new version will start coming out once ACT1, 2 & 3 are ported to Ren'Py.)
Now that ACT3 is complete, we will start working on the Ren'Py port of ACT1, 2 & 3
One act will be released per month.
So, this whole process will take around 3 months. This will be hard. A lot of story will have to be rewritten to fit Ren'Py since you can't just walk around like in RPGM. Also, we will have to re-render all the images from ACT1 and 2 of the game which is 2594 images converted from 720p to 1080p + updates to the poses, expressions and backgrounds in all the images.
Our reasoning behind the LwM port to Ren'Py:
Stability!
Currently the game crashes because of poor optimization in RPGM (Hell, it even crashes on our work stations with i7 8700k, 64GB RAM, 2x1080ti sometimes)
We have searched for a solution, but it seems like there is none except changing the engine.
Time we need to develop ACT4
Some of you commented that we should not Port ACT1, 2 & 3 and start working on ACT4 ASAP. But, this is not possible since we want to bring SwM to a new level of quality.
Let me elaborate:
Act4 will feature new/updated characters, new/updated locations and other important optimizations that we have not been able to do since the start of ACT2. While porting the game, some team members will start working on ACT4 immediately so they will have 3 months to write the story and do the necessary preparations for ACT4 (I can't say too much because of spoilers). This, we believe, will bring you the best ACT of the game that you have seen so far.

It is not a free roam game anymore. In the beginning you can click a few doors. Maybe so you can see how each room looks like or whatever. Doesn't matter. This goes away quickly and the game becomes a visual novel.

I was wondering will the choice based like it was in RPGM also return to renpy conversion ?? I feel the renpy has less choices (dialog options) available like it was in the older RPGM version.
To me it feels more like kinetic novel now since all the dialog options are no more in this renpy remake like it was in older RPGM ???
First of all, thank you for the very, very, very hard work! How in the world can you develop an entire ACT in just one month?!? I just played ACT 1 and my god, it's so amazing and wholesome! I loved it! But it really did contain A LOT of content, like something I'd expect from a dev after 3 months of hard painstaking work but you guys do it in a single month. My god! I love how ACT 1 played out, really loved it. Those animations were done so amazingly well that I rewatched them over and over!
Second, I love renpy! This also opens up the way to play on Android too! Heck yeah! No more crashes!

act 1 ending makes want to hope he saves her cause if she hurt in any way it would be bad for storyline of him not saving and helping her
From what I gather, this thread was made a long time ago. At that time, the game was in rpgm and had an rpgm tag. The tag was changed to Renpy when it was released in Renpy engine a few days ago.
When this thread was made, the game was scrapped after 2 updates because of Patreon rules, since it had incest and bestiality. They abandoned Summer with Mia, and re-released the game as Living with Mia (which removed bestiality and allowed us to define relations with the npcs at the start of the game)

Played through Act 1 now and must say it's a big improvement over the RPGM and the old RenPy port! Not many choices but the story flows, has gorgeous renders and nice animations. Quite enjoyed it! Looking forward to the other acts, nice job Inceton and team! Only real criticism is how the story progresses.; Not fond of the attempted rape, was actually happy the cops show up. And the whole thing kinda escalates extremely quickly. BUT! I can live with that, at least it does get to the good stuff fairly quickly. It's a porn game and it's a nice break from all the games trying to be exhilarating murder-mystery thrillers.
Only thing it's missing is a replay gallery, but that's not super important.

No that's not correct. I still happen to have the old renpy version on my harddrive. Summer wit Mia was always supposed to be a renpy remake of Living with Mia.

Apparently Emma likes to shop for clothes in a Hearing Aids store, she's in luck though, she can get a free hearing consultation inside as the poster says.
All in all a nice Renpy version of Act 1, though I have to mention that it's riddled with spelling errors.

I guess the plot in this game is what one has come to expect of games of this genre but at least it doesn't seem to waste time to get to the good stuf. I just hope there will be plenty of Emma in the future. So far she seems to be the more interesting character in this game.

alright, it's good that you decided to continuing this game. I hate rpgm so this is the only way I want to play this.

that comes on act 2 (starts on act 2).
nice game still despite typos (actually was misspelled and mommy-text popped up few times even she was in france) and renpy-error if tries to change relationships after starting game.

Did anyone else's playthrough have the wrong headers for people talking at times or was that just a me thing ?
ex. The invitation to the waterpark/pool whatever where Sam's header abruptly changes to whatever you use to descibe your mom
