It's very obvious that the patch is made by ocean himself.
In an early chapter, Nami is telling MC the kind of porn she watches. In the unpatched version she says "she watches 'special' porn", this is meaningless, and for some reason the MC is shocked by that.
In the uncensored version, she says she watches incest porn. Which would explain why MC is shocked, because she's his sister.

The game you're playing now is the vision.
The original vision died a few years ago. The Author has totally reworked the early chapters because the game took a different direction and the Author has re-adjusted the whole story.
The patch doesn't fit in with the new direction the story has taken.
Ah, didn't know Ocean went as far as reworking the early chapters. In that case I'll start from the beginning without the patch

For what it's worth, my only concern is the support the author's vision. I still have no idea what is Ocean's real take on this. His public opinion is clear : no incest. But then there is still some inconcistencies in the story and dialogues. They could be because the rework is unfinished. But even for the reworked part, I'm not sure. In the rework part, they are "roommate" and that is just not a realistic possibility. They can be foster sibling if Nojiko took them in as part of the foster system, they could be step siblings if she legally adopted them. But roommate is just not realistic. So I don't know
