-Why?
-LoF? I don't know what this game is.
Leap of Faith. Because it is completed :KEK:
It was great while it lasted, but now it's just a good memory.
And I really liked the characters and would love to see more of their stories.
But it's gone like Summer.

BaD, i didn't play,i played the same WiaB.
Well, if you compare it, the game that is most similar to this game is Summer Heart.
Sorry, it's my fault, I started it. It's hard to stay focused on a certain game while general topics are being brought up. But continue this we're violating rule 4: "Please avoid discussing or advertising other games in game threads, as this will often derail the discussion"

I mean, if the "completionism" is your thing, then this is definitely not your game. Because this developer is very ambitious with his story, so the introduction alone takes up an entire season of five chapters. If you can't watch it season by season like a long tv series and want to know the ending, I think you'll be disappointed.

Oh, ok.
I don’t see anything bad in this, the dev can start making a new game if he wants.
There was one such game after the end of which i really felt sad, because it was over, and in this i can understand you, but after two years he began to continue the story.
I just said, what i don’t think he needs to be done redone-redone, and again, i like these two projects, so i want more!

But why abandon characters that the dev has spent so much time on, whom he was developing over a few years, and whom audiences love? What's wrong with a long saga, with a bunch of characters, complex plot twists, a lot of parallel substories? Now, when he will release the first season, consider it the first game in a series of several games from the Summer's Gone lore.

And, unfortunately, he had to rework the first two chapters due to the huge leap in the quality of graphics and a noticeable inconsistency of the plot with subsequent chapters. Personally, if I were him, I would finish the same first season of five chapters at the same graphics level that Regium started it on. And all the super cool things that he brings now, I would save for the next season. But in hindsight everybody is a gangsta AVN dev, but in reality many games of SG age have already abandoned, and the Ocean, despite all his quirks and reworks, attracts such a support that infuriates many people. He's probably doing something right after all :KEK:

It’s very hard to wait since the game is really well made, but again in a few years the graphical progress will still advance and he will redo everything again or...
I hope to see what will happen next!

Another way to see it is Season 1 is a full game, completed. Season 2 is a new game continuing the story, so will Season 3 etc. Once Ocean has submitted Season 1 to steam, it's pretty immune to reworking - I know DLC's exist and remasters exist, but you only get to make your first impression once. He's aiming at the general public first to get wider support so he can keep giving you all these new games with the same characters, like a serial comic.

Reading the dev logs over the last year, it's pretty clear Ocean is trying to escape the reworks himself. He's just really focused on that first public impression beyond the patreon crowd, beyond the pirate sites etc.

His ambitious plot needs an ambitious business model to avoid being abandoned.

Back to the comic comment - in a comic series, we'd never find out what happened to Summer, and her real name might be Laura Palmer :sneaky:

That's already in game though - part of the tabletop session where she imagined all the extra connective tissue to compete with the rest of the team ...she didn't want to be the only straw weight, seeing Eva didn't play :sneaky:
I skipped that part , I just got this picture from page 1200's:sneaky:

Not with the extra weight pinning her down though :HideThePain:
Just like MC, I prefer her normal tiddies.
Agree with you, I have a feeling Ocean "inflate" their tits with every update. I have nothing against big tits, but not all characters should have big tits. I hope her tits stay big only in their game. Or about what will Nami complain in future if Ocean "steals" her normal (small) tits?
But many developers do that, some standard female model + biggest tits they can find, even if it looks ridiculous...
I wont even start what he do to poor Ayua... That girl was perfect... Maria's makeover was good...

I'm waiting the full rework since the start to play SG again and now that it's so close after few years without playing it's harder to wait !

Wasn't it supposed to be released this month ?
Does he said that it will be february now or juste no new informations ?

Yep, supposed to be. I think the last dev log said there was one intro cinematic left, the gallery and about half a day's worth of other work. The intro cinematic will probably be agonised over though, especially as Ocean has his new video cards to overachieve with ...I'll be appropriately wowed by the intro cinematic though, I'm sure.

The release schedule might be interesting as it really depends on how Ocean does it: we might have to wait until steam approves the finished version if Ocean holds onto it to generate more awareness on steam. I'd say we'll know something more from the next dev log.
