Haven't you played the chapter 5? You should play and find out for yourself :)
Of course i played and, as i said earlier, had to play from the very beginning!
After more than a year of waiting, this made me happy again!
A lot of reworked moments (but they take up time that could have been spent on a new plot)
What's new:
-trip to the beach with Bella (there's an erection problem)
-Nico meets Bella's ex or an old racing buddy
-new team training
-rats in the house
-moving
-end
Maybe I forgot something?

And this took more than a year of development!
Although no, time has yet been spent on reworks and removing the old content!

So much text and all for nothing! xD:LOL:

Of course, i read what was written at the very beginning on the main page!

The dev didn’t have any problems with sex in his other game(but it also does not have much plot development over several years - just reworks), just take a simple trend: the market for such projects is aimed at teasing to the end, when games stand for years on a storyline in order to approach the hot scenes!
Blue balls are a feature of similar projects that plague their audience - as if we are waiting for GTA6! xd

Are we in a kindergarten or on a forum for adults? He positions himself as an dev of an adult games!

But again, I’m talking about progress and you’re ready to sit and watch regression and enjoy it!
Well good luck!
One continual assumption in this thread is that Ocean's main goal in each of these games is to render successively hotter lewd scenes, and the plot is secondary. It is clearly not, the plot is Ocean's main goal, and the lewd scenes are just part of the AVN norm that he works within. WiaB basically starts with a sex scene, so it's just a plot device as far as Ocean is concerned, it's not the point of the AVN.

Progress wise, quite a lot has happened as far as the character and world building goes. If you consider plot as just the vehicle for lewd scenes, then it'll be disappointing. If you like plots and characters, there's quite a lot going on in the recent updates.

It's not really that big a deal whether there are lewd scenes or not right now. Nika's willy is not why I play the game.

Just a different opinion.
i don't get the whole getting ready for steam version and cutting out certain scenes because they are too erotic. when i have seen certain games with very very erotic scenes and very very taboo themes and they have been on steam for years and still making money for the devs and steam hasnt banned them.
It's not about getting around bans, WiaB already has lewd scenes that aren't censored, so Ocean is fine with it. It's about licensing and marketing. Ocean wants Season 1 of SG to effectively be a teaser to hook people in regardless of age restrictions, and how easy it is to get around them. An adult tag means it won't show up in some users discovery feeds on Steam. It's purely to increase exposure. Also, having one season accepted because it's super vanilla beige in terms of adult content, will probably help season 2 get past steam's approvals quicker, making the future development easier. If the game gets a good profile, Ocean will have an easier time getting good music licenses, even with adult content.

Benefit in the long run is it'll likely stabilise the game's development.

What does this have to do with the lewd scene?
I wrote about the plot, how far has the plot progressed?
Long ru? xd
How long will the game itself be in development for - Twenty years?
I originally wrote that there is no need to rework what has already been reworked! That it was not necessary to change Nami and that all! Rework-reworkings lead to even long delays! Years...

That's all!

Cutting out the lewd scenes didn't waste much time, and yes the development is longer than anyone wants, I can certainly agree on that. But I'm really happy for the reworks. It's far more consistent to me as a story.

You yourself confirmed in your own words that the game has been "standing still" for three years!

And why do those who support the dev financially constantly have the idea that those who pirate his projects do not have the right to express their opinion? :ROFLMAO:

I never said that the dev is doing something bad - it’s his business how to do his projects! I just provided some facts, which in my opinion, complicate and delay the release of new updates!

His games are very good, cinematics, renderings, characters, dramatic stories, musical accompaniment, all this is done at the highest level!!!
Only one thing is missing - "hot scenes"!
Which is the fate of steam to be removed from the project and yes, my opinion is that this is a downgrade not only in "hot scenes" but also in the plot of the relationship between Nami and Niko! Scene in the jacuzzi could push them further in the plot where their next "hot scene" it would be much better and more "serious", but dev have to re-create the scene to go further with their sexual plot(i.e. in other words, start again from the beginning)! Which increases the waiting time for such content significantly!

Dev has great respect for his work, but a little constructive criticism, even from a pirate, wouldn’t hurt!

And this is just my subjective opinion!
I don't why your bitching about an unfinished game that you haven't even put money up front and got it for free. Your the like the 1,000s person to come in and bitch about it. It's pointless no one here can do anything about the problem you pointed out, most of these people don't even support the patron I bet. If you want to give constructive criticism to author the there's better ways to do that then bitch about it to random's.

Also I don't know why people are saying things where cut for steam release, when it was clearly said 3-4 months ago it was so he wouldn't loose the music licensing for season 1.

Reworks and WiAB, yes, but not only that.
- Bella's storyline continued with her finally confessing her feelings for the MC. Romantic scene in the desert. An important decision is how they define their relationship now (open/casual or "all or nothing", leading to another breakup). The kitchen scene where MC learns more about Bella and Zara's childhood, which gives him a much deeper understanding of their characters. Nami's jealousy of Bella and their interactions are hilarious as hell. MC finds out that Bella is being stalked by Ceril's sister and the idiot racer.
- Nami's storyline continued. Shadows of the past tainting their newfound passion for each other. Nami is desperately jealous of everyone if you kissed her in the previous chapter, or indifferent if you didn't. Sincere talk at the end of the chapter and important decision about relationship with Nami.
- Nia's storyline continued. The beginning of a romantic route with her? Options to getting more physical with her which will most likely later affect relationships with other girls. MC learns more about her characters and finds out about Nia's relationship with Summer. The important choice to agree on a date with her at the end of the visit.
- Zara's storyline continued. Zara's sincere joy at the opportunity to live with Nika under the same roof. Deeper development of her character. Meeting and night street basketball with a couple from a rival college, which will clearly play a role in the plot in the future. A very important key phrase that the MC can say to Zara, I think this opens up Zara's route.
- Mila's storyline continued. A short scene which allows the MC to finally settle up Mila's route and decide if he wants to be with her.
- The most important key scene of the entire chapter is the visit to the book club. Introduces MC to the women of Wollust's high society. Opens up many further plots, but now much of the information is still vague and its meaning ambiguous. At the very least we learn that:
- Noji has been a member of this club for a long time.
- Noji has a beef with Katie Zane, and Katie really wants to meet Nami and Nika.
- Noji and Amber knew each other well, but they played strangers to Nika when he had his first therapy session. This bothers him and he decides to look into it. And now he doesn’t know what else Noji is hiding from them and why.
- The women in the book club clearly know something about Nami and Nika that Nami and Nika don't.
- Nika has the opportunity to communicate with Sasha and begin their closer acquaintance. They both suffer from panic attacks.
- WZ and Leia are alive and lurking somewhere nearby.
- The least interesting thing is the possibility of affairs with hot milfs.
- A rat infestation finally brings Noji and Nick together and forces Nami and Nika to decide to move into the student house. A stay at Nick's house allows MC to learn that Vanessa is strangely aware of his romantic life and knows too much about him and Mila. And training with Zara is inevitable and will start the next morning :)

Of course, I missed a lot and only skimmed over the key points of the fifth chapter. But all of this only makes sense if you're playing a story-focused game with adult elements. If you're waiting for porn, it's just a waste of time, at your fingertips holding Ctrl.

That has to be one of the dumbest things I've read. I think he is more than well recognised in this particular field. More than the majority.
Maybe to you. And this is where the facepalm is sorely needed. He worded it pretty poetically, but yeah, if you want an example of perfectionism, you have the taxi driver in "Collateral" played by Jamie Foxx, who said he was only doing it temporarily, and when Tom Cruise asked him how long he'd been a taxi driver he said "15 years".

I definitely forgot about this big event.
But again there are so many new heroes that, again, in the future it will increase the time for to build a continuation of the plot, since we already have a lot of old ones.

I'm in no rush to watch the end credits as long as the developer can release regular story updates and continue to keep me entertained. The more characters, the merrier. I currently play BaD and SG and no longer play LoF. Can you guess why?

Hello,

The last log was mostly about S1 & Ch2. This log now includes some new Season 2 stuff.

How so?

Well, I got an upgrade.

If you don't care about hardware and behind-the-scenes stuff. Scroll down until the previews start.

I was running into a wall with a scene in SG. I couldn't render it as it featured the big classroom & 11+ visible characters.

Sure, I could've used fewer characters but that's not the solution to the issue.

Especially in the college, I want to show crowded scenes with lots of students and professors running around.

I value immersion more than the actual image quality by now.

At first, I tried to render the scene in two images. (Hide half the people -> Render it -> Show/Hide the other half -> Render it -> Put together in Photoshop.

It didn't work. The scene is so crowded and everyone so close to one another that the shadows were fucked and seams started to form.

I also tried to remove some characters, but I couldn't even render the 7 characters. (From 12 to 7.)

Then I wanted to move that scene over to the WiAB PC to render it with the A6000. Yeaaah, the WiAB PC was lacking 50-100 assets that I would've had to hunt down.

And the new Cloud library is still uploading (It's been weeks.).

So I reached out to a B2B business in Germany that sells hardware and asked them for an offer for two A6000 Ada's.

These fuckers come in at 10k€ in Germany. Each.

So, I talked to them over the phone and told them what I would need... and that I'm looking for a reliable hardware business to work with.

I got both A6000 Ada's for 13k. I also didn't buy them but leased them, as it's super easy to deduct 100% of the cost as a business expense.

And the best/saddest part? The leasing rate of these cards together is less than 40% of my monthly energy bill. Let that sink in.

I didn't like the Ada. I didn't want to get it. And now I tested them for two days.

I knew they would be slower than my current setup...

But I was wrong. Those Ada's outperform my 4090+3090 easily.

I have some numbers:

4090 + 3090

Render 1: 6:28min

Render 2: 8:42min

2x A6000 Ada:

Render 1: 5:13

Render 2: 7:01

The reason I didn't want to get the Ada was that they got rid of the NvLink and memory pooling.

But I found an SLI option in the Nvidia settings... And I think it somewhat works.

I went back to the scene I couldn't render previously and rendered it without any issues. (12 Characters).

I then noticed something funny... The cards were only using 25 GB VRAM out of 48.

How is that possible?

If that was the case, the 4090 & 3090 should've been able to render the version with 7 characters. (These cards have 24GB VRAM and the scene would've definitely dropped below 24GB by removing 5 characters.)

That's why I think the SLI (NvLInk) actually works to a degree. Theorethically I could render this scene with 24-26 characters.

That's amazing.

So yeah, I gave in and got myself two Ada's for a "decent" price and now have a friendly relationship with a B2B Hardware business in Germany. (Which will help a lot in the future.)

And I'm very impressed by the Ada's. I never expected them to be faster than my 4090+3090.

They also only use half the energy compared to the 4090/3090 combo.

I could also add two more of them to the case.

I hate to say it... But the Ada's delivered.

Prepare for some big, immersive scenes in the future.

And now I'll answer the question from the beginning: How am I able to do Season 2 again?

Thanks to the Ada, I can now do what I've been doing with WiAB for SG.

Work on two updates at the same time.
Previously, I couldn't do it if any scene featured more than two characters. (In each Daz instance).

Alrighty, let's start with the Season 2 previews. (Limited to three.) 4K attached.

Judging by how S1 ended. Season 2 has different starting routes. (Mila, the Cheeto & solo)

Some Mila.
View attachment 3291958

I'm kinda sick of the Cheeto's open hair. It's such a low quality asset. I also don't like to use her ponytail all the time, so I've begun to experiment with new hairstyles.
View attachment 3291961

The look the Cheeto gives you while you try to explain, why taking a bath together is a bad idea before she dismisses everything you just said with a funky "Yo!"
View attachment 3291959

Now to the current priority target. Season 1.

Sadly, the A6000s arrived after I finished the basketball scene... So I had to limit myself there.

But the basketball is done and only a few smaller scenes are left and then I'll need to do the postwork and... Oh god... The gallery for Chapter 2 & Chapter 5.

Some more basketball comparisons. 4k Attached.

I had to laugh a few times when I checked out the older images... Like what the actual fuck.

Old (Bella slamming MC into oblivion.)
View attachment 3291955
View attachment 3291953
View attachment 3291952
View attachment 3291954

Obviously, the new version has a much better dynamic. Bella isn't a hulk anymore, you'll actually deal some blows to her too this time, and the scene flows much better.

New
View attachment 3291960 View attachment 3291966 View attachment 3291957 View attachment 3291956

Less than 200 lines are left. I can see the light.

It also feels so good to work on Season 2 again.

Oh, I almost forgot. I've also started to work on the first Blender cinematic. It's the new Intro for SG, as I sadly had to remove the old one due to music license issues.

I bought the license for the new intro song almost two years ago. Since then this intro cinematic has been in my head... and soon I get to use the music.

I feel good.

I hope you do too.

- Ocean
I'm in love with the Cheeto.

Started playing SG Ch 5 beta again. Comparing the rendered image of Nami's body in Ch 5 with the image of Nami (ch 2 final and S2) from Ocean's devlog.

It turns out that the difference in Nami's body isn't that big, only the lighting effects (shadows and sweat reflections) are richer, so Nami's body looks more muscular.

Mn3.jpg
Mn4.jpg
Mn5.jpg
Mn6.jpg

Or another possibilit. All the render images ( Ch2 final & S2) are from the same model (model for S2 (ocean was too lazy to make 2 different models)). Where, in season 2, Ocean made Nami go to the gym more often because she was defeated by Charlie in an arm wrestling match at the book club, and she wanted to avenge his defeat. :sneaky::LOL::ROFLMAO:

-Why?
-LoF? I don't know what this game is.
BaD, i didn't play,i played the same WiaB.
Well, if you compare it, the game that is most similar to this game is Summer Heart.

Leap of Faith. Because it is completed :KEK:
It was great while it lasted, but now it's just a good memory.
And I really liked the characters and would love to see more of their stories.
But it's gone like Summer.

Sorry, it's my fault, I started it. It's hard to stay focused on a certain game while general topics are being brought up. But continue this we're violating rule 4: "Please avoid discussing or advertising other games in game threads, as this will often derail the discussion"

I mean, if the "completionism" is your thing, then this is definitely not your game. Because this developer is very ambitious with his story, so the introduction alone takes up an entire season of five chapters. If you can't watch it season by season like a long tv series and want to know the ending, I think you'll be disappointed.

Oh, ok.
I don’t see anything bad in this, the dev can start making a new game if he wants.
There was one such game after the end of which i really felt sad, because it was over, and in this i can understand you, but after two years he began to continue the story.
I just said, what i don’t think he needs to be done redone-redone, and again, i like these two projects, so i want more!

But why abandon characters that the dev has spent so much time on, whom he was developing over a few years, and whom audiences love? What's wrong with a long saga, with a bunch of characters, complex plot twists, a lot of parallel substories? Now, when he will release the first season, consider it the first game in a series of several games from the Summer's Gone lore.

And, unfortunately, he had to rework the first two chapters due to the huge leap in the quality of graphics and a noticeable inconsistency of the plot with subsequent chapters. Personally, if I were him, I would finish the same first season of five chapters at the same graphics level that Regium started it on. And all the super cool things that he brings now, I would save for the next season. But in hindsight everybody is a gangsta AVN dev, but in reality many games of SG age have already abandoned, and the Ocean, despite all his quirks and reworks, attracts such a support that infuriates many people. He's probably doing something right after all :KEK:
