I prefer his Illogical creatures over that ugly bastard tag :ROFLMAO:

Mentioning the creatures, it's totally unbelievable to me how little damage that "demonic" cat made to both intruders, considering described ferocity and tenacity of his attack. Those little scratches that only needed a little disinfectant look like they were made by a (small) rat, not a cat who intentionally tried to cause actual damage. Or if it was a cat, then it couldn't possibly be older than a month or maybe two maximum. A little kitten.
Cat scratches this superficial are usually accidental non-intentional damages made by a cat who was only playing and having fun. I've had this kind of scratches often enough to know.

Would an adult cat actually attack them the way the story describes, they'd be bleeding allover the place and would be wearing visible damages for a couple or more weeks. Bella wouldn't be able to cover her facial scratches with just a make up.

That cat must've been wearing some thick socks and a muzzle to do this little damage.

Also, cats usually don't attack strangers the way dogs do. They either ignore them, avoid them or try to befriend and play with them.
There may be rare exceptions though. I've heard that Siamese may be more aggressive, but even then I doubt that a cat would attack a stranger who pays no attention to him. Must've been possessed.

A possessed cat wearing socks and a muzzle...

Nah, Nika's too young for this shit. Ocean's placed Nika's music choices around 1990-1995 if he's going full brooding trenchcoat an 3/4 length shorts school shooter. I guess they're classics to him, being over a decade before he was a spermy leaving his dad's wormy?
Meant I even then being in my 30s was too old for that genre at that moment in time.

Mid and early 70s growing up on Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Frank Zappa, Yes, Tangerine Dream, Gentle Giant and whatever my best friends older brother had in his immense LP collection and by the end years just before the compulsory military service when punk really broke through followed by Blondie et al among others.

Now I have learned to appreciate good music whatever genre it may be ranging from "early music" through the baroque masters and later stuff. I may even enjoy the arrangements by Benny in an ABBA tune or a catchy Boney M diddle.

Nika liking AIC's got nothing to do with his age, it's an aquired taste. If you like it, it's good!

I treat most of it as storytelling - and, IMO, that was quite a funny scene - two intruders trying to be quiet while a cat was trying to drive them off.

RL - I have a cat who was raised with a dog. When the dog passed, the cat took over guard duties and meant it.

She got right in the face of a 160 pound Irish wolfhound who stuck his nose into my home when the back screen door was left partly ajar - I was cooking on a grill.

The dog was a bit of a gentle giant and was not sure what to do at first, until she charged him and he decided that his nose might not enjoy the attack of that 15 pound furball.

I'm glad nothing more came of that incident and the dog never tried coming into the house again, but the guard kitty thing is real, if uncommon.

Cheers!! :coffee:

Nah, seeing he likes AiC, it'd be 'Down In a Hole', 'Angry Chair' 'Heaven Beside You' (like the coldest winter chill ~ Summer's Gone) or 'Would?' I'll go with Would, because it leaves the ending unresolved :)

(I do love Soundgarden though )
If Nika starts spending a lot of time with Vanessa. He'll probably become a Nine Inch Nails or Lords of Acid type of guy

She's not tricking me.She's not only a fan of later 90's NIN , but we're talking Pretty Hate Machine so old, that the lead singer of Filter Richard Patrick was the touring guitarist for NIN before Filter. If you accept her offer to buy underwear with her or clothing, she'll be blasting that "while the devil wants to fuck me in the back of his car" lol ....or Head like a hole lol

The ED problem is kinda funny imo. Has anyone tried "no nut November"? I did, and at about the 3rd week i would take a piss and 15 seconds later i had a burning desire to piss again... So I went to my doctor and he gave my a prostate exam. At the end of the session he's like "I think you know what you need to do"...

After finishing my business the next day the doctor called me and said "so how did it go?" :ROFLMAO: I laughed and said everything is good now. I was in my early twenties at this point and for this game to claim the MC doesn't get hard from a morning wood or...

Is so ridiculous. I can only imagine Ocean is actually a women. Incredibly talented but still... No way a male would create a ridiculous story like this.

Well, the actual problem is that Nika has HEAPS of testosterone, if we believe the removed images of his dick are still relevant, and his amazing muscle growth. It would be plausible if he had a tiny weiner and stayed a noodle - but with raging hormones, he'd need to change the sheets more than once.

Maybe the reason he jokes about dead children is he has to change his sheets after nightmares

Actually, maybe the exercise woke up the testosterone, and he'll have to change the sheets more often which will be embarrassing at Nick's place... after all the muscle mass didn't start until after college and all the hotties entered his radar. Delayed puberty? :sneaky:

Taking your comments more seriously, I took those kinds of statements from Nika as tongue in cheek - Nika is partially having a dig at Nami who is always looking for a sexual meaning in almost everything, she probably gets orgasms from her rolls etc. Nika not wanting to bang anyone is not ridiculous though - his problem isn't physical (as evidenced by testosterone/muscle growth) but mental - he doesn't see bodies as attractive. Consider what does get to him - scents. He notices smells and they make him feel funny, but his eyes don't care about tits or ass. His prudery with Nami in the spa is more because he isn't interested in sex and she keeps trying to push porn, talk about her fantasies, Noji's sex dungeon - he's just tired of her antics, kinda embarrassed by her. In the book club scene he makes it awkward for her, just like he does at the start when he alludes to the porn she rented. When she gave him a chub at the lake, it was physical sensation, not visual.

So yeah, he literally finds visual stimulation irrelevant. The eyes see, but the brain doesn't associate. The issue that Noji didn't find traces of ...issue... well, that's bad writing. I'm guessing Ocean meant that she didn't find tissues like Nami leaves next to her bread rolls, rather than Nika doesn't need to wash his sheets.
