I don't think the new workstation is the answer in terms of reducing development time (it kinda does) but working in 2 games at once is the real issue.
He said it helps him focus. Apparently, constantly working on the same story burn him out. I'm one of those who think he should put one of his game on hold. But which one? There will be anger and disappointment if he does that.

Sooner or later it should happen, not a true rework, but as you have been commenting, maybe adjust the script before subsequent seasons make what seems “weak” fall directly into plot holes or deux ex machinas.
Fingers crossed for the stealth update when WiaB comes out!

We all know he'll just end up making...more renders instead....
Well, that's different to making 50 more chapters worth of SG renders in which way? :HideThePain:

Honestly though, the problem is two ridiculously large chapters that should have been split into parts. SG S2Ch1 is really the size of 2.5-3 chapters. If he did that in a year, that means he's increased his speed by 2.5-3 times without even the workstation. But until updates arrive, its pointless to wonder what happens next ...so I suspect we'll drink a lot of coffee in the meantime. :coffee::sneaky:

If Ocean said he can only do 50 a day, then that's the speed I'm quoting, not the potential of what is possible, but what is the current turnaround. I don't want him to spend another 240 days rendering old scenes in any case, I think we can leave that for the director's cut when he's bored after finishing. :coffee::whistle:
I think we are talking about different things and that's why we don't understand each other. When you say 50 a day, does that mean 50 scenes a day, or does that mean 50 renders a day?

In the last devlog (I think, or the one before), Ocean spoke about 50 renders (not scenes) in the cue, presumably each game has 50 based on the numbers he provided. Whether or not this is fast or slow isn't really relevant, that is what he said his speed is, so that's what I assume he can do on average, render with more characters probably go slower than average. He give an estimate for each game how the progress is going in terms of render count, those are the only numbers we can guess any time frame from.

Looks are absolutely gorgeous, fully point and click. Ngl, I just held skip down for the longest time just to see if there was a scene etc early but it is so much dialogue. If you want a story, I would say check this out. If you want scenes or ease of action, I wouldn't bet on this unless you wanna work through the meat.

I think I got it, you're talking about this, I quote: Currently, my PC can render ~20 to 50 images at night, depending on the number of characters in the scene.
Everything is simple here, Ocean wrote earlier that 1 scene is rendered in 4.5 minutes. For large scenes, he bought himself an A6000. Just multiply the number of renders by 4.5 minutes, add a maximum of +5% for the queue settings and you will get the approximate rendering time.
P.S. You're confused, it doesn't do 50 renders a day, but 50 per night.

Oh no no no... you both take the wrong turn... 8000 render make the dream true, each branch has a unique outfit and hair style depending of choices!!!!
More raw power = every single render is like the final battle of "Avengers: End game"
Even the sexual scenes, all characters will have a special aparition making a "Genkidama" :p

He's mentioned his workflow is to set up scenes during the day and let them render while he can't work on scenes at night before, so that assumption of 20-50 renders per 24 hour period seems to match how his render numbers are going. It's is also assume per game, as he's spoken of that number for each game, we don't know what he means 100% and I can't stare over his shoulder to check.

In any regard, we know he is not faster than this, or we'd have the update already. This was just an example to explain why redoing the renders of season 1 for a consistent colour grade using the latest daz models is a very bad idea. As it's hypothetical, it's better to use those numbers to work out approximately when we might see the updates.

Bella & Victoria - Christmas Day 2
Hello,
With today's Christmas renders, I had to give myself a 15 minute time limit for each render. 15 minutes and what I have by the end of it will be rendered.
I had to do this because my focus is not always under control, and before I realize it, two hours have passed.
The cover:

Bellchen

Victoria
A bundle of joy.

Four images were planned, but I ended up with five—another sign that I am running the risk of becoming temporarily obsessed with a Treat. If it were up to me, I would've done 10 images each for Bellchen and Vic.
But the updates, ya know.
Setting an alarm for 15 minutes definitely helped.
Tomorrow, the last set will be published, and it will be Miru and Katie.
-Ocean
Bella looks so good as always, nice treat for Christmas.

Victoria i dont really care for i still find it weird that she is a romance option in this game given that she is mentally challenged its like romancing a child, its just weird bro...

I just sometimes go to quickly skim through 500 pages and maybe even look at the devlogs.

December 27. It seems that once upon a time (not so much) I heard something about the second season (at least its beginning) at the end of the year.

Oh, postcards. Let's say I pick it up.

It seems it’s time to make waiting for a continuation from the Ocean a goal in life, and not an achievement for a couple of years.

Maybe I’ll even put it in my dying will. Maybe at least descendants.

Happy holidays, waiting friends.
