Sorry, bro, it's almost impossible to resist answering after 2 thousand pages of debate about what this game is about.
Actually, it's almost what the description says: the MC suffers from trauma after the mysterious disappearance of his childhood love Summer, lives a secluded life and does not communicate with anyone beyond his landlady and roommate. Until one day he goes out and meets a strange girl, who is hit by a car in front of his eyes. Perhaps this event triggers a process of change, he understands that he can not continue to live like this and tries to change his life and get healed from his trauma. That's why he pushes himself to socialize with people, especially since they are going to college with his roommate and he just forced to interact with others.
Well, then comes the life of a freshman with a lot of events, new acquaintances and situations that he gets into. At the same time, he tries to find out what happened to Summer, and learn about his origin, since his parents died in his childhood and he knows nothing about them. A bunch of secrets and mysteries of the town where he lives.

Oh, and the most important note, the first season - which is all that has been released so far - is actually 16+, although it has 18+ rating on Steam. No seggs.

- The story starts with the MC incredibly depressed because Summer, his childhood sweetheart is gone. He is antisocial, and doesn't know how to get out of the house
- MC has been enrolled in college, but didn't really know what else to do
- MC meets new people and has panic attacks.
Giving you more detail than that really will ruin what there is worth playing the game for.
- The game focuses on character's emotional states, and the mystery of what has happened before. We don't know what has happened to Summer.
- the game is intended to be 6 seasons, we've only seen season 1.
- The game is focused on character development, not lewd content. IF you want an idea of the kind of lewd content OCean is likely to do, check out his other game WiaB, it starts with a lewd scene.
- There's a lot of details to the dialogue to pay attention to, it's wise to make saves just so you can go back and remind yourself what was said earlier.
Things that you should be aware of:
- this game is popular even though the number 1 complaint is there are no sex scenes yet. There will be lewd content in the next season.
- if you play AVN's by fastforward, looking for scenes you like, don't bother, you need to read the story because it's the whole point.
- I can't really say things like "these are the characters, A, B, C," because it's better for them to introduce themselves, there are a lot of moments where people are in the background before you meet them. It's a game where you have to pay attention and read between the lines.
- only play if you're prepared to read. It's a large first season, and it's just the prologue (effectively)
- WiaB is Ocean's other game, this is set 20 years later in the same town/city.
- we're all hear impatiently waiting for the next season to start.
Last point - fan and user based mods might ruin your saves. Seeing a mod like a taboo edition etc seems great, but even applied there is like 1 lewd scene, one render of a vagina and a couple of flaccid cocks. If you blink, you pretty much miss them in the game and the one lewd scene seems to be set to return in season 2 anyway.

I found out that chapter 3 was released in 2021 and chapter 5 in mid 2024. So this is 2 years per chapter.

We're expecting the next update sooner than that. Optimism would say before June, but we've learnt not to hold our breath in this thread either. There was a devlog yesterday (link to a devlog list is in the OP of the thread) so you can read up on season 2 ch1 development.
