Like, dudes, weren't you whining about this a year ago, you even used the same words, posted you replies in the same order, it feels like you're reposting your old posts without changes.

But man, if you visit the thread regularly and don't filter the posts... A few years ago, when Ocean was still here, they were crying, complaining that the thread was an echo chamber, that it was only for the developer's fans (simps, zealots, dickriders, buttlickers...), who did not allow them to spread the Burning Truth, but only mocked and humiliated them.

When Ocean left the Zone and settled in Discord and with him many of his supporters who are not interested in a stupid flood, it turned out that the echo chamber is very much liked by these guys, in fact, they adore it. They just didn't like its sound, but now everything is fine with that. I can't get it how a person in their right mind could sit here day after day and repeat like a mantra "30 chapters", "never finished", "limp dick", "sex when", "abandoned", "see you in two years". Every fucking day. This is exactly how I would imagine the nuthouse inmates talk.

And the entitled "customers" just amuse me. The developer invests his earnings in the best equipment, "boo, such a high investment, such a low return". Seriously, so instead of investing in his game, he would rather spend it on... what? Cocaine and hookers? A new BMW?

Low returns my ass... If he had even mentioned money, there would have been a squeal here, like that monster from The Thing movie. "Milker! Dirty milker! We won't let him suck on our juicy tit!"

However, the income is not as small as it seems. Because it allows him to live off solely on his games, working on them full time, and also investing a lot of money in his projects. Very, very few developers can boast of this.

Yeah, you're preaching to the converted

The post I replied had the usual mockery of people who enjoy playing SG, so (in a moment of weakness) I thought the poster deserved a scathing taste of their own medicine. Besides, they seemingly come from a blinkered worldview that AVNs should only exist for titillating sex scenes (I mean, really? It's Daz3D renders. I think that's kinda like getting off to the puppet sex scene in Team America: World Police)

As anyone knows, enjoying a game while acknowledging it's flaws is not "simping." I've had my fair share of light-hearted digs at SG during this inter-update period, but at least I put some genuine thought into those posts.

Ultimately, it matters to me not one whit what these naysayers say. I know I'm gonna enjoy the SG update (flaws and all) whenever it comes out, just like I enjoy a TV shows/movies/novels/audiobooks.

i don't jerk off to AVN games i like the story and characters and yes as a red blooded man i do like to see sex scenes but only for the visual stimulation i like the character dynamics between the mc and the other characters as far as the relationships go .and as far as complaining about sex scenes if they come if i don't like them i will vote with my wallet like others sould do with any AVN.

Look at some of our post histories. You'll see plenty of criticism of SG - the game.

It's when muppets make the same low-rent posts over and over and over and over and over, that you'll see pushback. Their one liners are not something we haven't read a million times before over the last several years, and the posts are usually obvious because they're aimed at the developer and fans of the game more than the contents of the game itself. PS - most of the old timers still here came to terms with the long SG update cycles many, many years ago. No amount of bleating here is gonna change anything.

Tell me, can you critique SG in a manner to suggest you've played it and maybe enjoyed it? Tell me, what are some of the plot holes in the AVN, and why do you consider them plot holes? Tell me, do you think there is any significance in the parentage of characters Nika and Nami that affects the overall story?

I acknowledge you have your own preferences with the AVNs you play. So do I. If there is an AVN I don't like or enjoy, I simply stop playing it, and I don't bother interacting in it's F95 thread.

They writes so much nonsenses, which personally I don't care too much, but if those replies succeedly reach my bullshit limit, they going to my ignore list. There's a lot of whining and arguing about why just 190, it'll never be finished, blablabla. It's really irritating that some people can't appreciate literally anything.

I've read several times that it's argued that "you gotta give the content the community wants". Hm, how about no? Why do these people think that the community is necessarily right when they demand something? Of course, this doesn't rule out the possibility that the community may come up with a good idea that adds to the story, but that still makes Summer's Gone Ocean's story, and whether you like it or not, he's shaping it the way he wants.

ok challege accepted, ok so all the female characters/love interest are from face value i don't see a single ugly girl and as far as the females bodies go there is something for everyone like big booty to small booty and big boobs to small boobs so thats a plus. the plot holes i see is summer herself is she dead or is she alive, is she married/ in a realtionship or is she single has summer feel out of love with nika these past years apart , so many questions about her i hope to get a answer sooner rather than later. so far as nika and nami's parents i think them losing them so young has a effect on them both but in different ways, nami sees nika as a father figure of sorts and looks to him for appoval and is in love with him because she likes the bad boys and nika is one. nika is in search of love that he didnt have with this biologcal mother and losing summer brought back the loss of his mother so he is scared to trust another female like he trusted summer for the fear of loss again and the whole dick can't get hard it's a mental block and also defense mechanism so he don't get hurt from a woman like he got hurt when summer went missing i'm damn sure she was going to be his first. i hope that sums up my thougths about summers gone in a nut shell.

Boy, anyone that's been here on F95 for a long time knows that situations where devs cave too much to player/supporter demand usually don't end well. F95 is a graveyard of abandoned AVNs where devs when down that route.

BTW - I can't remember the last time I joked about the 30-32 chapter thing, but I think it was years ago . I am more interested if Ocean still plans for that many chapters and if the large updates now contain multiple chapters based on that original estimate. The last update I recall Ocean making on the subject is years old.

as far as i think i know you can't give everyone what they want/look for because if you give a inch they will take a mile they will never be happy no matter how much a dev caves in to the pressure. all a dev can do is their very best and hope people will like it and support their work.

Personally, I'm not sure Summer's fate is a plot hole yet. We will know more once how and why she "disappeared" is revealed. Will it be a plot hole, a satisfying and logically-consistent reveal, or something that requires a large suspension of disbelief?

With Nika/Nami's parents, I was wondering if you think their parentage is significant to the story because their parents were somehow important or linked to one of the competing factions in, say, WIAB. For example, is Katie Zane's interest in Nika/Nami because of who their parents are, or something else? Actually, are their parents even really dead or is that a cover story to hide the fact they're the illicit offspring of, say, WIAB characters? Who knows? Maybe the parents are competely irrelevant outside of their deaths making Nika/Nami orphans.

In terms of the lewdable/LI characters, I think the widest variation of bodily characteristics is in the minor characters, so I hope they're lewdable. I like the wide range of personas Ocean has breathed into his characters. I don't know about you, but I find it hard to play new AVNs where the female Daz3D models used are the exactly the same as an AVN I already enjoy. Thus, for example, I've never played any other AVN featuring the P3D Aria assets because that can only ever be Sasha-a-a.

Well, I'm not gonna repeat that one dev's quote, which I've already posted here several times, about who the passengers are in this case and who the driver is who chooses the destination. But I would be absolutely thrilled if these complaining dudes would band together, hire writers, artists and whoever else they need and commission them to make the game they want. And share their experience of managing such a project. Reveal a so-called success story if you can call it that. Then I would say, "yeah.... These guys know what they're talking about."

But we've always had trouble with numbers and its interpretation here. Like that guy who couldn't calculate how long it would take to create 2-4 thousand renders at a speed of 190 renders in 12 days

Okay, I'm being sarcastic, of course he was asking a rhetorical question, complaining about the long development time.

Which, however, does not remove problems with comprehending a simple paragraph. Yes, "only" 190 renders. But that was highlighted that these were complex scenes with a large number of characters, which is why they took so long to process. But are all the scenes in SG with a large number of characters? And weren't ~1850 renders made from October to December, which gives 370 renders in 12 days using the old workstation? Twice as much as this time.

And in total, 461 renders were done in those 12 days, so in that same time, another 271 renders were done for WiAB. And as we saw in the previews, WiAB also had complex scenes with a lot of characters in one picture. So actually only 41% of the hardware hashpower was allocated to SG in those 12 days, although it's usually the other way around.

But the reason of this is known - WiAB will soon to be released on Steam, and Ocean wants to finish the remaining work as soon as possible. He mentioned that he will need about 10 more days to have the hardware focused on WiAB rendering tasks. After that, it will obviously go back to the previous ratio.

But no, this guy I was talking about ignores all that, takes the 190/12 particular case and extrapolates it to the rest of the SG development. Hillarious.

Yeah, who knows how much the WIAB story actually plays into the SG story, other than being in the same Oceanverse and featuring a few of the same characters. Some of us reading the tea leaves to predict this and that connection between the two AVNs might simply be pissing into the wind.

If you haven't played WIAB yet and would only consider doing so to see how it relates to or affects the story in SG, then I would recommend not bothering yet. By the end of the last updates of both games, there were only tedious connections at best, with some WIAB characters appearing in or being mentioned in SG.

You just wrote the same thing that Ocean's Patreons write. Fans are missing action, out of 6 years of development, the game has been in one place for 3 years, and all updates are dead, there is no progression of the plot.

As far as I can tell, fans are pinning their hopes on Chapter 1 of Season 2, they hope that the plot will finally begin to develop in it. At least a lot of Patreons write that they are tired of waiting for the game to develop, and if it doesn't, they will start leaving. Perhaps Chapter 1 of Season 2 will be the turning point you talked about.
