Its not about the support he'd lose IMO, but rather the support he fails to gain.
I dont think theres a single AVN that gets as much free promo as SG, yet the number of people willing to open their wallets is 1.2k. The other Summer game has blown so far past SG it lapped SG then came back for seconds.

i'm wondering what will fans say if season 2 chapter 1 don't have a lick of sexy time with any of the ladies will they finally see what we all been saying. or will they simp even futher for a few tit and ass shots but no sexy time with Nika and a girl that fancys him for some reason since his dick dont work. i can't wait for the release day that the update drops i will be here for the responses. but i might be wrong and Nika bangs bella strait up but i'm not holding my breath.

I would say he needs to speed up yes. But many many supporters would keep even without sex scenes.
Sex has never been the main selling point of this novel, after all.

but not having sex would not make sense either considering the light sexual interactions he makes with the other characters already plus he also mentions it himself on his thoughts that he would want to have sex with bella (if you follow her route) someday when he is ready

but can you say the story is really good ? a college student is hung up on his childhood girlfriend that goes missing and in return he has Erectile Dysfunction which i never heard of such a thing as you missing someone you can't get it up. and to make it worse you are physical healthy, young and surrounded by absolutely sexy beautiful women that want to jump your bones. but you don't care about them because you miss summer and she is your one and only and to make matters worse you dont even know if she is alive so your saving yourself for her is kinda stupid. If you follow the thread long enough, but visit it not often, with breaks, then you just get a sense of deja vu. Like, dudes, weren't you whining about this a year ago, you even used the same words, posted you replies in the same order, it feels like you're reposting your old posts without changes.
But man, if you visit the thread regularly and don't filter the posts... A few years ago, when Ocean was still here, they were crying, complaining that the thread was an echo chamber, that it was only for the developer's fans (simps, zealots, dickriders, buttlickers...), who did not allow them to spread the Burning Truth, but only mocked and humiliated them.
When Ocean left the Zone and settled in Discord and with him many of his supporters who are not interested in a stupid flood, it turned out that the echo chamber is very much liked by these guys, in fact, they adore it. They just didn't like its sound, but now everything is fine with that. I can't get it how a person in their right mind could sit here day after day and repeat like a mantra "30 chapters", "never finished", "limp dick", "sex when", "abandoned", "see you in two years". Every fucking day. This is exactly how I would imagine the nuthouse inmates talk.
And the entitled "customers" just amuse me. The developer invests his earnings in the best equipment, "boo, such a high investment, such a low return". Seriously, so instead of investing in his game, he would rather spend it on... what? Cocaine and hookers? A new BMW?

However, the income is not as small as it seems. Because it allows him to live off solely on his games, working on them full time, and also investing a lot of money in his projects. Very, very few developers can boast of this.

The post I replied had the usual mockery of people who enjoy playing SG, so (in a moment of weakness) I thought the poster deserved a scathing taste of their own medicine. Besides, they seemingly come from a blinkered worldview that AVNs should only exist for titillating sex scenes (I mean, really? It's Daz3D renders. I think that's kinda like getting off to the puppet sex scene in Team America: World Police)
As anyone knows, enjoying a game while acknowledging it's flaws is not "simping." I've had my fair share of light-hearted digs at SG during this inter-update period, but at least I put some genuine thought into those posts.
Ultimately, it matters to me not one whit what these naysayers say. I know I'm gonna enjoy the SG update (flaws and all) whenever it comes out, just like I enjoy a TV shows/movies/novels/audiobooks.
