Of course, Patreon's policy is to ban people. If they ban you from one game, they ban you from all of them. But something must have prompted Patreon to ban Ocean, and the only thing I can think of is that Wiab was the trigger with the alleged “incest.”

It doesn't make much sense to ban someone without explanation either. These things can ruin a person's financial future, so the least they could do is give a good reason...
And why did it take them that long to figure out that OceanLab was the owner of both pages ?

Because Ocean didn't create the Summer's Gone Patreon page, Regium did. Ocean just managed it after Regium jumped the ship.
So technically, he didn't break any Patreon rules with this, either. He didn't create an alias account, he just managed an account of another person.

You're not thinking like corporate slime.

Giving a reason encourages people to argue, and makes it possible for you to be proven wrong. If you never give a reason, your reason can never be wrong, so your ass is completely covered. And covering your own ass is the important thing, not keeping your customers happy, nor doing a good job...

But are we talking about Ocean or Patreon? Because as far as I know, they didn't give him an explanation either...

grey is obviously talking about Patreon who banned Ocean without a reason in Summer's Gone

Of course, that's what I meant, but for a moment I thought he was referring to Ocean, that they had given him a reason and he had kept quiet about it, so as not to admit his own negligence, as the issue has been heated lately and one no longer knows what to think xD

Apparently, he also still doesn't know why WiAB with his own account was banned.

Patreon just bans you and stops responding. No reason given, no way to ask, no way to appeal.

Some time ago it wasn't this bad. I remember a few devs being able to lift a temporary ban. Or maybe just different accounts have different "handlers" assigned to them, some of them reasonable, some just assholes who don't give a fuck and are only covering their owen asses.

If his numbers were truly impressive, Steam would be indispensable. Since his performance there is only average, he’s actually earning more on SS. Deep down, he’s still hoping for a breakout moment on Steam.
Not going to happen w/o good lewds. If all you have to offer is story that story better compete with Game of Thrones otherwise your story isn't good enough for that to happen.

Summer's Gone is absolutely not carrying with its story. It'd be an unrealistic goal.

They had a reason, ban evasion. He was banned on the account which hosted WiaB for whatever reason. In regards to SG, they drug their feet but if they hadn't his SG account would've absolutely been banned alongside the WiaB account because Ocean as an individual is the target of the ban.

Wow, I last played this game when beta chapter 5 was released, and there has been nothing new since then
An uncomfortable truth. Ch 5 beta was published 2 years ago and since then there has not been any new content. Some will try to tell you otherwise though. Distract you with tales of cut content and expanded scenes. But you know the truth. We all know the truth deep down.

Think of it this way though, it could be worse.
How, you ask? Well, in the next update in 2026 we will finally see the payoff of the sparring session with Ayua that was scheduled about 4 years ago. So...baby steps I guess. We'll get to the end if we all live long enough :HideThePain:

You missed the last update, Season 1, but yeah, nothing new has happened there after the point where the Chapter 5 beta ended.

What's changed between CH5Beta and S1: Over 2,000 new renders of the reworked Chapter 2 have replaced the old ones, starting from the moment you agree with Bella (or not) to break into Holgerson's house at night, and continuing through the end of Chapter 2.

Now I recall that was supposed to be the last rework. Thanks for the information!
