Hello,

I used a small portion of a cinematic and uploaded a teaser to YouTube: (Video is attached at the bottom, too.)

People are understandably wondering about a release date.

I will handle it the same way as I always do. I will give an exact release date the moment everything is 100% done, and all that’s left is to click “Release”.

It’s likely that the release will be one day after I announce a date.

Somewhere in 2025, I mentioned in a Dev Log, that I’d be redoing about 300-500 renders, because I wanted to change the environment.

The reason was, I’ll need to work in this environment for at least the next two Seasons, and the previous environments I chose weren’t that great.

The reason why I’m mentioning it is that I showed previews of the old ones that aren’t in the game anymore.

Like this one:

If you recall, I mentioned Mila can wear two outfits during this scene. I got rid of this one when I did the renders with the new environment.

And she’ll now only wear this one.

I didn’t get rid of it because it added a bit more work, but because I started to dislike the outfit. It’s too “cheap”.

Here is a preview of the new environment.

I will publish a small collection of the deprecated renders from the old environment after the release. It had some good ones.

The cinematics are done. I still need to do some postwork on the polished renders, and the UI is mostly done too.

There is one Ui element I still need to properly code. It’s the screen where you select your Season 1 save.

The last 30% of the game still needs to be tested. I’m doing it completely alone right now, but I will soon give it to some friends of mine, then they can do their playthroughs and test it as well.

I’m preparing a Steam/GOG reviewer version of the game. A version where every single scene and event can be seen without them having to replay the game like 20 times.

I’m sure this will speed things up. It’s a little tricky to set up because they won’t be importing all those variables from Season 1. I’ll have to manually define them.

I still need to fill the gallery… But I’m thinking about deactivating it for the initial release and adding it like a month later.

Oh, while doing postwork, I saw a render of a person I hadn’t even previewed…

I’ll leave it here because she’s awesome and it makes a good final preview.

If cinematics like this are what he wasted time on all these years (and he mentioned cinematics almost every log), then, excuse me, of course, this is mediocre shit.

What I see in this video is no different from the content in an average Avn, which would have updates quarterly.
I understand that this is a small piece with sound and a static plastic model (looks quite mediocre for such a period of development). But excuse me, he called it a TEASER. Teasers are what should attract your attention to the game.

Once again I am convinced that, having started normally, at some stage he decided to simply fuck his fan base.

No way, Ocean did that because he's a wimp, he doesn't have any guts and he's become a worshipper of Woke culture, it wouldn't surprise me if there's some trans girl in this game who's still going to eat Nika's ass in some update
There are a billion valid reasons to critique Ocean on, I cant imagine a dev that makes it any easier to point out their copious amount of red flags and piss poor decision-making.

But holy fuck this statement is unhinged. Be better than this.

If i was his subscriber i'd say to first release it and then waste time on gog/steam realese (i think he waited 2 weeks for SiG approval)

I didn't like part of the new sinematic, Sasha in it looks kind of plastic like render from 2019-2020
That's because Ocean is still mentally stuck in 2019/2020 since he still thinks he's a top dog.

Btw. the cinematic was "inspired" by (or straight up copies if you prefer) Sleep Token's Take Me Back to Eden visualizer. But hey, it does give the fanboys something to talk about while he again pushes the release window back and reworks 500 stills...

It's also worth noting that development of the WIAB will continue in three days. So, that's another time penalty for SG development.
