What about this as a scenario to explain Summer's disappearance: Her parents had to go into a witness protection programme after testifying and/or providing evidence leading to the conviction of members of the Zane universe's criminal underworld. (It could be that the authorities even went as far as to fake their deaths in order to hide their tracks.) Under these circumstances the nation state would provide the family with new identities, histories, financial support and relocate them somewhere considered safe, quite possibly in a foreign country, and as far as everybody who knew them in the past was concerned they would be off the map forever.
Maybe it's more of a case of Summer's gone into hiding rather than Summer's Gone.
Lots of other possibilities exist to explain how Summer could go missing, be assumed dead, but was actually still alive.

I've never actually played WIAB, I tried to but you can really tell it's ocean's first game.
I made the mistake of playing summer's gone first, expecting the same level of quality from the first game. I think I'll wait for the remade version of WIAB.

I think you're right. That's what I've been thinking too based on the titles and look of the VNs. Trouble is we don't yet know when the two stories happened so can't work out how one can affect the other. (They might be happening at the same time or be years apart.) Perhaps some kind of vendetta triggered in WiaB has been raging between two or more criminal families for decades and the MC's parents got killed during the feud, either because they were involved with it personally or just collateral damage caught in the crossfire.
Damn! These stories must be something special to set people thinking about them like this! I'm so looking forward to discovering what's really been going on and when as future chapters of WiaB, SG and future VNs are released. Hand on heart these tales could be made into a riveting television series or movie with next to no revision or alteration.

If you mean the spelling of "Engrish" that was intentional. It's a term to describe things that were poorly translated into English. Though now that I think about it it may only apply to things that were originally Japanese? So therefore we're back to me having made a mistake again.
I actually just plowed through WIAB since my previous post, haha.
The first few chapters are rough. Nowhere near the same quality. However it totally gets there. The last two chapters are definitely on the same level as Summer's Gone. You can see how much the creator improved as both a writer and at the whole graphics / animation thing.
I did a lot of fast forwarding in the beginning of WIAB just to see if it'd get better as I wasn't interested at all. Once the bar scene comes there's some cool branching that happens from there, and then once the jail scene hit I was legit interested, cause it was totally going in directions I didn't expect. From there it's without a doubt worth playing.

I'm not a fan of the Summer's death theory either, I think there's a subtle hint in the story that Nami was involved in her disappearance. When talking with Amber. Doesn't the MC say: It was the last time i have seen her. What i take away from that sentence is that she definitely still alive. Maybe Summer had some shitty parents and she got taken away by CPS or some shit like that. He says something along the lines of "That was the last time i touched her" then Amber says that he saw her one more time, at which point our MC freezes up. To me it looks like MC's brain has built a wall around a certain very traumatic memory of Summer, perhaps also connected to the ride back from the cabin with Officer Louverne(?).

Bella getting all riled up about Emilio's snarky remarks means she wouldn't say no to a relationship with the MC, it's just something new to her, so she acts childish about it, which also implies that she'd like to have someone who loves and cares about her, especially after whatever happened to her sister. Judging by how she behaves, I wouldn't be surprised if she was a virgin, even if she claims to be 'experienced' when it comes to sex.
Also, you don't have to be an Einstein to see the obvious attraction between these two. Even tho some fans hate her or simply wanna ignore her coz she's 'complicated', nobody can deny that Bella and the MC have a lot in common. Emilio sees that, he also knows how short-tempered Bella is, she's not the type of girl who'd take care of a stranger she don't give a fuck about. Even Amber, who knows her daughter better than anyone else and is also a psychologist, thinks Bella and the MC are a perfect match, maybe that's why she's so touchy-feely with him, or she wants a piece of him herself. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Speaking of Emilio. He's totally got super secret intelligence agency vibes with his "do a background search" dialogue. I figure he'll either find out what really happened to Summer, uncover some big secret about MC's parents, or both. Plus there's that bit about MC reminding him of another guy. Really curious what the big conspiracy plot of SG is gonna be.

It shouldn't matter if bella had experience with men but it seems unlikely considering characters in the game goes all the way to paint her as some one to avoid at all costs and a prime target for the "don't stick your dick in crazy" advice.
The sexual tension between the two oozes out of your screen man if that much isn't obvious maybe they should get their eyes checked. That barber dude seems to know bella personally probably one of the four people to know her personally, the three of which is her mom, her aunt and the ayua girl. Most of these people are in with her because they share a common hobby or is a relative which means bella is emotionally sealed tight af probably both literally and figuratively considering how she acts. Well all of this doesn't take a genius to tell anyway.
There's no way some therapist would accept half payment and get so touchy feely with a patient logically without going into borderline typical porn plot, I'm willing to bet amber isn't only trying to help the mc with his emotional trauma, I'm pretty sure she's also using him as her chess piece to ensure his lasting acquaintanceship with bella turns a full blown relationship that will enable bella to break out of her tightly sealed shell, two birds with one stone.

) and racing. She lost contact with Robin cuz they don't have much in common and bcz Bella has her own shit to deal with. I wonder what really happened to her sis that affected her so much... hope it's not something too dark like her getting killed by Bella, or by someone else, or kidnapped and tortured, or fucks knows what really happened. Bella needs some love too, so if the MC gets romantically involved with her, Bella's sis should be back in the picture... even if the MC won't date her, Bella deserves to have her sister back in her life.Also, you forgot to add miss Marla to the list. It's not mentioned or I can't recall when she started going to therapy, most probably after the accident that left Vic in a wheelchair, but she also seems to care about Bella since Amber is her therapist. Nadia is also friends with her, but I don't think she's as close to Bella as Ayua is.
Right now the story is really interesting and the top-notch visuals make it a must-play game. I personally would prefer to have some more information about what happened to Summer so the MC can finally close this painful chapter in his life before he starts dating other girls, or he should just rekindle his relationship with Summer, if nothing bad happened to her, but it's Oceanlab's story to tell and I'm trusting him to deliver a compelling story that will catapult SG into the top 3 games spot on F95.
