On what days ( in game of course) does the update take place, again ? The whole week end ? I wish we could go to Nia's - it's supposed to be Sunday - but so far there's no preview that suggests we can.

I guess that with the DND session and the other activities planned (basketball training, the lake scene with Nami...) it will be difficult to fit it in. This might be the biggest update we've had I think.

Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

There's also tennis and meeting Nojiko's boyfriend and his daughters. There might be a couple more but I can't remember.

If I remember correctly this event was planned for Saturday and on Sunday training with Ayua and Nia event ig

Will have to check which day the board game (DND) is planned for so it's a day or maybe 2 before that I'll check and update later

Do you think so? I feel like if Oceans continues to write at this level, then when the lewd scenes do arrive, they'd feel like a natural addition to the game and the narrative. When MC and Bella had that moment in the dressing room, it felt natural. When it's time for them to become one, it'll feel natural(assuming Oceanlabs continues to write at this level... which I have faith in him doing). I feel like Oceans will add the lewd scenes in an organic or natural way(hence the relationship-building now). That way, when it's time for MC to finally do the deed with a Love Interest, the feel of the game won't change. The overall feel/tone may even be better at that point, as Oceans is always improving.
Yes! Just look at WIAB? We’re only one chapter in but it still feels natural even though sex was almost the first thing that happened. What if Ocean added sex scenes before he got the animation practice? They might’ve been just like any other VN with near no immersion and only low quality 3 second loops. THAT would’ve made it feel unnatural.

I just hope it helps with his animations. The one where he punches the guy is... passable. BaDiK's animation was better
BADIK is literally one of the only other AVNs with animation on that level. COBD and BADIK really can't be compared to Summer's Gone seeing as there's a massive difference in support... most notably with BADIK. But I mean that's your opinion, so I can't really argue that lol. I never really paid that much attention to it myself(I must confess), but please consider that Oceanlabs is creating his animations with a fraction(of a fraction) of the support that developers like PhillyGames and DPC are creating theirs with. They both also have a lot more at their disposal in terms of hardware and software.

Honestly, I think I understand why SG is constantly compared to BADIK. When searching for an AVN to compare it to, BADIK is normally the first that comes to mind. I understand that they're in similar genres, but the fact that SG is compared to BADIK so frequently, despite the fact that the story has barely begun, only speaks to its potential in my opinion. Someone used this analogy a while ago, but it's like comparing a startup tech company to something like Microsoft. Quite interesting now that I think about it

I think there's a high chance that this game might get abandoned before it gets completed.
Ocean said he's planning on there being 30+ episodes, but that's just bullshit. I don't think he really thinks that he can work on this game for 30 years.
Even if he pulls magic out of his ass and starts releasing updates every 5 months, with every update being a full chapter, it'll still take 10+ years.
Realistically, for his plan to succeed he needs to at least release 4 updates per year, change the amount of content in a chapter, or change the scope of the game.
Any thoughts?
Ocean milks those cows the way it should be with one half update by year, I even dare say that he could do less and still receive the same amount of money so props to him for his devotion and hard work (if you are unhappy, you can give him more money so he may buy better materials). If I were at his place, I would definitely give slower update for sure.

Pretty sad, but true. At the current rate; it will take 54 years to make 30 chapters if he releases half a chapter per year. And 27 years if he makes 1 chapter per year. He going to have to prioritize one game.

this is exactly why I praise ocean every chance I get just to balance out the stupidity he has to deal with

not to mention that this fool doesn't realize that ocean is working on the game all by himself with limited Hardware

also keep in mind that the size of oceans updates are absolutely incredible and he gets faster with every update

I was going to respond to the accusation of ocean being a milker

but that accusation is so stupid it hurts my brain

these people do not realize that a game with 30 chapters cannot be finished in two and three years

and what's the hurry anyway last I checked I'm not dying

that's like complaining about it TV show with multiple seasons and saying why is the show taking so long to reach the end

thank you for making me Break My Vow never to comment on this forum

if I may use a metaphor I would like to think of ocean creating summer's gone as a journey and I'm just glad to be a part of it

literally posts like this, few by Lady Fortuna and the development time period table by Ray , should be pinned on top of this thread like the one pinned by a mod about rules for few days when this thread was cleaned up

so those complainers who gonna shitpost here atleast think once -
THERE'S LITERALLY EVERYTHING MENTIONED HERE ABOUT WHICH AM GONNA WHINE HERE what will I get by writing again
1 update a year , 30 chapter , gonna be abandoned , focus on one game only ? some quotes with the same answer which was there on the pinned one , facepalms
c'mon F95zone wont send you a "most facepalms collected on F95zone" trophy to your house
it's literally the same thing repeated every few pages

Their support is that big cause they both finished their first games first, which caused fans to trust them. Ocean is trying to make 2 games at once and if that's the way he wants to do things, that's good for him I guess, but he's gonna have to accept that he'll never get the same amount of support until he finishes at least 1 project so the fans know they can trust him

for ocean working on two games keeps him from getting bored and burned out

if I remember correctly

when he's tired of working on summer's gone he

works on where it all began and

when he's tired of where it all began

he works on summer's gone

it keeps him refresh

but I could be remembering it wrong

For us with the Asian kick, I think I remember reading a certain maternal figure wasn't going to have content. Am I remembering correctly? It's been a while since I think I read it

i wished i liked WIAB but i don't love summer's gone i wish the dev could hit a 6 month update but doesn't seem like that going to happen with 2 games at the same time guess have to get used to 1 update a year which sucks but at the end of the day can't really get mad about free games
