that's a long journey 2 new chapter update to kick in then we get the chap 2 complete rework . almost a year or more wait . only recommended to those who never played and can wait

I wouldn't recommend that wait. He would be putting off a very enjoyable experience for a long period.

My last time with SG was chapter 2. At first I was only waiting for chapter 3, but now I'm waiting for when I could start from the beginning again without being unhappy later because of another changes.

Chapter 3 is up to date renderwise, Ocean stated multiple time, that "only" chapter 1&2 getting a rework. The reason behind the rework of the first two chapters is the incoming steam release with with/after(?) chapter 5

I would put it a bit diffrent, but the story has changed over the years - so you have a point to. It's now more about healing and less dark.Purging the game of all contend that could offense even the tinyest (woke moron) snowflake like the nicknames for the players from the coach.

I, for one, enjoy that we get these long waiting periods. I know I get the quality I waited for and I haven´t been disappointed yet. the slow burn of the romance is nice too. Im so tired of sexual scenes that mean nothing and pointless lines of dialog and halfassed renders and scenes. Its nice to see that somebody puts love and care into them ("lol, there are no sex scenes, game is crap, haha." well, shut up, go watch porn).
Who knows, maybe I will soon be able to finally support this awesome developer. living on a day-to-day paycheck sucks ass.
Game is good, story is good and the characters feel alive. That´s all I need.

I never found it interesting until the crack downs. I'm an only child with no oedipal issues, so there's no natural purchase for it in my libido. Now that I've got to download weird patches from sketchy websites to uncensor the FORBIDDEN, that added a certain frisson...

Ok, I don't really care about wainting one more year (I actually do, but I can wait). The important point was to be sure to know when I can stop waiting and have a "definitive" version.
You give me the answer, I will probably wait till chapter 5. (or a 4.5 if the rework is already done)
And I agree, I prefer a good game with long wait, even if I think one year is maybe a little bit long even from this viewpoint.
Still, the guy knows what he is doing.

The versioning is kinda odd but essentially "ch4.5 beta" will be the second half of chapter 4, followed by "ch4.5 full" that will be the rework of chapter 2. So you just need to wait for ch4.5 full.You give me the answer, I will probably wait till chapter 5. (or a 4.5 if the rework is already done)
