Can someone remind me of the conclusion about SG being blocked in Germany on steam, will Ocean try to get it on there or is it finito for us Germans?

You can get it from Epic in Germany I believe, it has a lower rating there.

I'm no expert, but I think to sell an 18+ game it has to pass the official certification board, not just the steam ratings - and that's expensive, with no guarantee it'll pass.

Maybe she did it, but not intentionally. In my country we have a saying that goes something along the lines of: Who tells a tale adds a line.

She might have shared the incident with a friend Who told another a slightly more spicier version to another until Nia hears it.

I am just musing here. But who could have done something like that ? with who robin could have talked to ? Could have been Katie for sure, or the twins but tend to believe them.

There were 5 of them there in total and only 3 of them denied it is still possible that it came from the other two
As for the mystery cheeto I think she is rather gathering information than spreading rumors there is one thing that puzzles me and I don't know if I can only put it down to the game mechanics or if it is something more note that you have to tell Bella that she was right and we are not so different and only then Robin asks us if we want to train with them to ask about Bella from the moment we tell her these words and visits to the gym only the shopping trip with Bella takes place. And depending on whether we told her this or not makes Bella insist on staying in the dressing room with us. So it turns out that the information that this situation took place is the reason why Robin thinks that he can get some information from us so even if Cheeto met us there by accident she did not leave at all she stayed to spy because only from her could Robin find out about it

Did she really tell? Because we know how gossip spreads very quickly among women, maybe one of the women involved in the bathroom told her friend, and that's how it spread.

Man I had written a good response to your point but my shitty internet fucked with me, so here it is the short version.

I agree with you but what makes the world feel alive and deep is the fact that we can't be sure if said character will have a role to play in the story or not.

I just haad a thought - Ocean might be planting these characters and having them recognisable, talking with NIka's friends in the background, because they're the ones that carry the gossip.

Think about mysterious stalker Cheeto she's at the shop when Bella's buying Nika clothes. Pizza goth girl is known to talk with Zara, and Nami's shouting about how Nika needs to stop fucking girls in the restrooms, maybe Zara hears this rumour, and doesn't know the full details (she wasn't in on the girl talk from memory). So for some of them, their 'job' might just be to show the walls have ears. And this might play a big role in how jealousy/cheating is uncovered and made plausible.

That is a really great idea. I still think that the Goth Girl and Mysterious Cheeto have a role to play but is a great way to enable this mechanic in a organic way. Somebody always is watching.

The range of background characters in SG is a beautiful thing, not because they are mostly babes, but because many of these characters break the prevailent AVN stereotype that any visible female character in an AVN is present solely to serve as a simp/fucktoy to the MC.

Ocean chooses to constantly and deliberately put focus on some of these background characters (goth girl, for example), so the assumption is that they have a role (even if small) to play in the story. The college rumor mill is a good example of a role they likely play, especially with that reporter looking for dirt (PS - to be honest, the implementation of the reporter's arc is very weakly implemented IMHO. A TV crew cannot just walk onto college grounds and into hallways to harass students. That reporter would easily be subject to a restraining or trespass order by now).

I really love the premise that, while some of these background characters may be central to the plot, they have absolutely no romantic interest in the MC whatsoever, and never will. I am sure there will be those who throw a tantrum if their chosen background character doesn't get conquered by the MC. Maybe that is where Nadia/Nancy's 18+ roleplaying game comes in - allowing some improbable sexy times with characters otherwise not interested in the MC.

On a different note... We know that Season 2 Chapter 1 will be a big update. I suspect that the playing time of the update will depend on previous in-game choices, because Ocean has reached that point in the game where some serious branching begins in earnest (for example, if not on a Zara path then a player will possibly miss content in the next update. Same goes for Bella. Mila, Nia. Cheeto et al)). As usual, this makes multiple playthroughs on different paths mandatory - not only to savor the entirety of the AVN, but also to discover morsels of new background information only available on particular paths.

I doubt Ocean's new PCs will shorten the time between updates. I suspect they will enable him to implement a complex story with multiple branching (requiring a huge amount of renders). Ocean already demonstrated this in the previews where the clothes Mila wears in a given Season 2 scene depend on previous player choices.

Such actions are not consequence-free. The media can lurk on public property, such as the sidewalk outside the college. They have no legal right to enter private property. Given the reporter's history, a trespass order would have been slapped on her ass by now. If Mila's fears are well-founded, then Nika could easily enter this Oceanverse college with an AR-15 and a thousand rounds with absolutely no one to stop him.

Not to mention, the stories she seems to be chasing are pretty weak. It's tabloid stuff at best. I just write her off as the typical VN excuse for drama. College VNs are notorious for having weak plot threads from time to time.

At my university I can even enter with a Glock in my backpack and no one will care, lol. I don't know about your country, but here no one takes searches or strangers seriously.

But well, in 5 chapters I haven't seen a single security guard on the university premises, maybe this is a huge mistake on Ocean's part or that no one is brave enough to face the Zanes, Revera and Petrova.
