Here in Brazil there is no age restriction, at 12 a guy has already fucked up the entire neighborhood, has already drunk more than a V8 engine and if you're not careful he already has about 5 homicides on his record.

It absolutely has age restriction, you can't buy alcohol being under 18 in most established, even neighborhood ones, as the owner will most likely know your parents and refuse to sell.

We do lack a good Sex Ed and that leads to teen pregnancy, but is a matter of education. Our country has many problems, we don't need to make up. While some of it is kinda true is not representative of our whole country or culture. And is completely off topic.

I don't rule anything out. For example, one developer I know lost some data on his SSD a couple of weeks before the Steam release. Just perfect timing. He refused to change the release date, he felt too obliged to the supporters, he didn't have time to completely redo the lost part, and the companies he contacted didn't give a guarantee on data recovery, despite the decent amount they asked for for their work. Bro was very upset and frustrated, although in my opinion the situation was not worth a damn, he could just released what he had. Luckily, his supporters were decent human beings and completely understood the situation and supported him anyway. I can only imagine if he had gotten the same shit that Ocean is getting here.

To be fair, as someone who used to be "the guy that built it" a lifetime ago, I can attest that these things do happen. But not by me, nooooooo... I've never done it myself. That's the story and I'm sticking to it, despite other people's so-called evidence otherwise! I live in my own alternate reality with my own alternate facts!

But I have to say, it's beginning to feel more and more like the world is conspiring against Ocean to work on the games. The amount of major and minor obstacles encountered is not exactly run of the mill.

Imagine if he started developping a 3rd game alongside WiAB and SG. A game about an AVN developper that goes to the gym and likes round women with gigantic tits. This dev's dream is to put his games on Steam so he has to grovel at their feet in order to publish his games. But a million things go wrong with the development and he has to navigate all these obstacles while simultaneously getting fucked in the ass by the exorbitant taxes of his country of residence

I'd tune in for that. Would love to see the Blender Arc come to life. All the ordeals with his friend's gf. Would be sick!

I'm in but Ocean's third game is supposed to be female protag. Though the gender wouldn't change much.

With a year or more to develop an update! 10 days and a year! That's a fucking statistical error!

Personally, when I'm hardware shopping the second thing I look at is the warranty. I extensively modify my hardware and if that is going to void my warranty, I won't buy their product. And I can guaranty you, even at Ocean's scale of hardware, such warranties exist. So I'd hope that he learns from such events and acts in a manner to prevent such delays from reoccurring.

<Edited to add that the reason myself and most of my coworkers have since got so heavily involved in various mod scenes is bc of our experience on the industrial level. Our company uses heavily modified equipment originally designed for medical use and completely modified them for our own purposes bc such machines simply do NOT exist. Simply, as in all things, you get what you pay for.>

There is too much whining about some games taking too long between updates. Yet there are many fair complaints. There are a billion excuses that we're given and every single one of them should be incorporated into the planned release schedule. And the most egregious cases always come from these full-time devs. And these devs need to start paying attention bc there are a lot of new devs on the come-up releasing similar quality of content in significantly less time. At one point guys like DPC and Ocean were so far ahead of the competition that there was no competition. We saw a surge during the pandemic, but now we're seeing the people that were inspired during that surge and many of them have shown actual talent.

I can only suggest you to read the Ocean's dev log again.

Personally, I don't see how your examples of an individual or a large company that needs a customized hardware relate to him and his case of leasing the workstation to reduce his business costs. And frankly, I'm not very interested in discussing it, for the same reason as the part of the post below.

There is too much whining about some games taking too long between updates. Yet there are many fair complaints.

Although it's hopeless, I'll try to explain it as simply as possible.

Here is Ocean, who makes a game that I consider to be the best among AVNs. I can launch the game at any time and see with my own eyes the results of Ocean's work, what his experience, knowledge, work processes and hardware allowed him to create. I can open the latest dev log, which is posted regularly, and read about the current development status, plans, issues, and see previews of the upcoming release.

And there are you, and all the content that is available to me is your posts about how the Ocean does everything wrong and how he should do everything differently.

Forgive me, please, but I am probably inclined to trust the results and not someone's reasoning about how it should be.

There are a billion excuses that we're given and every single one of them should be incorporated into the planned release schedule.

Everything I really wanted to write in response to this does not pass my new non-aggression/tolerance filter.

Let me assure you that neither I nor my buddies on this site are in any way affiliated with that anonymous group of excuse recipients you refer as "we." So I have no idea what you're talking about, and I'm not discussing it.

Advice for advice. Post all this on the Ocean's Discord, there is a suggestions channel.
Personally, I see only good in careful planning of work, strict release schedules and time/cost estimates. Maybe Ocean just doesn't know about it, and you will open his eyes and "we" will all benefit from it.

I liken the second group to dumpster diving for food then complaining to the chef that you did not get the meal you wanted in a timely fashion/with the appetizers you desired/there was no wine served.

These can be legitimate complaints for someone who is actually Paying for the meal, and a legitimate reason to stop paying for food at this establishment if the chef is indeed not providing the meal and service promised by his establishment.

NO chef owes dumpster divers the meal of their choice/the table of their choosing/the wine they prefer/etc.

I am quite thankful that Ocean deleted his F95 account and is no longer wasting his time 'entertaining' the complaints of those here taking SG for free.

His time is better spent creating SG and WIAB.

For those here who simply want to find Something to complain about - have at it.

So if someone who lives on the street receives the same meal that someone just payed for, and complained about, with the chef realising they messed up, this person doesn't have the right to complain because they got the food for free right? Maybe just his official account. Also, someone wrote here some time ago how Ocean's discord is "cancer" when it comes to asking "inconvenient" questions with people getting banned. This thread seems no different, except for the banning part.
