wow almost a year ago... Any plannings for the next update? Or is he still busy with steam... ?
Congratulations on registering your account bro. You may not know it yet, but the most popular games of the scale and complexity of Summer's Gone get an update every 8-12 months in last years. A shitty trend but whatever. If you wanted to complain about the imperfection of the world - my warmest virtual hugs to you.

The last progress update with numbers was in mid-December, Ocean wrote that he was sittiing at 3750 renders. His estimate for the total number of renders in the update is ~6000-7000. So he needs ~2250-3250 renders to finish the static visual part of the update. We calculated here earlier that he was doing ~850 renders per month recently. At this rate, he will finish rendering in 3-4 months. That's the rough estimate when to wait for the release date.

But his new workstation he got last week is baking 70+ renders a night, as he wrote, which is 2100+ renders per month. Let's say 40% of those are WiAB renders, and we'll have ~1250 renders per month. At that rate, it'll take ~2-3 months to finish rendering. But that's not certain.

And yeah, I guess he's still busy with the Steam. Where it All Began release on Steam is ahead.

Did you read its name before answering? I just hope you were able to get it all off your chest... sometimes it's necessary, I sometimes take a user off the list and look at their last post, so I can get the anger (for whatever reason) off my chest and go back to being me. :p :ROFLMAO:

Thanks you saved me a ton of reading older messages, just to find out how progress was :-D

I liked my name, some one called me captain obvious, so I renamed it! I was only wondering if we would be getting to see an update anytime soon, last time I asked was somewhere last year...

May 8 2019 was the game first release. 6 years development and season 2 isn't even finished. Hell season 2 chapter 1 didn't even published. Isn't it too much of time?

There is no point in counting how many renders Ocean makes, because he can lie. Before this, Ocean said that he works hard and how everything is going well for him, but in the end he made 2000 renders in 5 months, which is 400 renders per month.

p.s. Before Ocean was able to earn a lot of money and buy expensive equipment, he made about 30 renders per day. Now he has several very expensive and powerful PCs, but for some reason his work speed has not increased. Don't you find this strange?

What Ocean writes is complete nonsense, it is profitable for him, like any other developer, to write the longest possible rendering times, because they can sit for several months and do nothing while getting paid for it.

You can type in the search engine the rendering time in DAZ 3d and you will see how other people render and do it faster than Ocean.

Although, so that you don’t look, I’ll find it now and insert it so that you can see the difference. Below I’ll insert the rendering time of Ocean.
2 People scene. (Opening and rendering)
Old: 13:20min
New: 8:25
Improvement: ~5min
Found one interesting video. Do you know what's interesting about it? Its author uses the same system as Ocean (the old system has 2 cards installed, 3090 and 4090). Look at it and compare their rendering times.

What do you think? This guy renders 13 times faster than Ocean on the same PC, and 8 times faster than Ocean's new workstation. And these are not even the fastest rendering settings.

Dude, I read both of your posts and now I see a pattern in how you pick games! I love basketball drama too!

What do you think, will Nika make it to the first team?
