Is it true that a woman adopted two children and raised them and is thus in fact not a landlady, but a step mother? And the two kids grew up together, raised in the same house by said woman and are thus, step-siblings? And while I have your guys attention, what is the relationship if any between one "Nika Cyrus" and prominent Wollust native "William Zane"? No, you're not late, you're too early. Come back in 10 years and maybe then you'll find answers to some of your questions.

I'm newish to posting around here, but this is one of 3-4 threads I've lurked around off and on.

Still not as bad in here as when Ocean announced he was cutting the Nami tub scene...then because of the fallout bailed from the forum.

If you're using a patch for any version other than Season 1 full, it'll screw the game up. The uncut mod linked in the OP is the only one worth touching, I don't think anything else has been done that works properly with season 1 full.

Keep in mind that any mod has the potential to break your saves on import to season 2. Also, it's important to note that fan made mods can't predict what Ocean's story is, so some dialogue changes might actually not make sense later in the story.

reading especially when Nika was talking with Zara about parents. Or do I owe the writer an apology

It's a very long story..however, I will leave you with this.

Despite the obvious connotations, what many here believe or think...unlike WIAB (where Ocean up until recently always maintained that story was an incest story) has always maintained that this wasn't. People will laugh at this comment, I can guarantee it however I'll once again ask, if he was happy to admit his other story was...why would he not be honest about this one hmmm? There's no reason for him to lie or deflect given his statements about WIAB.

Where it became a whole lot more confusing was when Ocean Patreon-bleached this story and now seemingly, also his other to future proof his Patreon income for this, even though his other story is no longer on Patreon anyway. However, the events of WIAB directly affect and influence SG....so it seems we're at a crossroads currently. Ocean made a statement in a devlog that has since been removed about no family (except his sister) in WIAB....because that would obviously have potential concerns here too...

Basically, draw your own conclusions because no one other than Ocean himself really knows at this point....

Regards Nika and Nami, we're all wondering how Ocean will explain the situation. My guess is that we'll find out what the deal between them is when NIka starts talking about the other deal he has with Nami that no one knows (if you take her on the night walk in ch4.5 at VIc's house). So really, we're left wondering, and we might not even find out in this next update. I think Ocean can't keep drawing that tension out (of not knowing what the situation is between Nika and Nami) for much longer though, it'll just keep frustrating people more than the secret is worth to the story.

This is assuming Ocean's not just avoiding answering those questions right now, who knows?

Yeah, I understand the release date, but I still did a full play through in May once the official release was out. And in that time, although Ocean had some previews of S2Ch1 leading up to the beta, with everything that happened then (patreon + steam) I doubt he did any real work on S2 until after he'd dealt with steam.

I of course am keen to see how the story continues, definitely WiaB's next update will give me plenty to think about while I wait for this, whatever the connection might be moving forward.

You know as well as I do, Ocean made the first renders for the second season back in 2023. At least that's what he said in his log that was published after the release of Chapter 5 beta.

Of course, but I kinda feel after the beta release Ocean was probably pretty slow with S2 while dealing with the ~2200 renders left of the rework, WiaB's patreon disappearing and the failed steam limbo he tried to do to get in the 16 rating. There were still things I found out from the rework, other than Siegbert. There wasn't huge amounts, but there were some pretty important things.
- we found out NIka had been charged in the past, but the charge was dropped,
- we found out that coach Hill had been keeping an eye on Nika from before Summer, suggesting he is really good, or someone wanted an eye kept on him,
- we found out that Dwight doesn't always wear sunglasses, and is used to dealing with a drunk Ayua,
- we found out Zoey is still around and is supposedly friendly with Amber and Bella
- oh, and a demon cat... for some reason.

So even if small, there is more to the story than there was before the rework. The point I'm making is not that the story has advances much in 15 months, but it was updated less than 12 months ago with more than what we had. Whether or not if felt like a good update to people is beside the point that it happened, and Ocean seemed to pretty much put a hold on everything until he got steam sorted. It was a huge wait to find out what happened with WiaB and patreon for example.

As much as I like the game I hope Ocean never has the bright idea to do a ~7000-8000 render chapter again, unless it's a finale.
