Yes, Zara does imply many things along those lines. Also the idea that Vanessa's far more intense than Nika's seen - any conclusions he draws right now are insufficient basically.

My assumption that Bella was paying attention when her goal is to manipulate Vanessa into sleeping with Stefan. Bella's sole reason for hanging out with Vanessa is to find a way to persuade her to cheat. In that context, Bella's focus is on Vanessa's personality to find leverage. So if Vanessa isn't masking, Bella would know that Vanessa is no airhead. If Bella's assuming Vanessa's an airhead, Vanessa is manipulating Bella's perception at very least, so she can at any point play Bella. She's probably doing so as a reflex action, amused that Bella's trying to play cat and mouse, while Vanessa's actually a snake.

Basically, Vanessa is Leia reincarnated.

Besides, I get the impression that Ocean's games revolve a lot around the manipulation of others, whether in Where it all Began with William, Leia or Katy or Summer's Gone with Nika, Bella and Vanessa.

- Melanie and her sister, how did such a psycho who sniffs other people become a cop? Will she put Bella in jail? Will she be the detective the Holgersons get to investigate Mila and the break in?
- What's Katie up to? Why is she setting Stahl and Hill up to form a new basketball team with special interest?
- What's the deal with Sasha? Is she carrying drugs for her own panic attacks? What caused her scar?
- What's the deal with Nami and Sasha's earrings? Are they Leia's, or are we just meant to think that?
- What's Marla's deal? Why does she want shared therapy with Nika and not with Vic who she almost killed?
- Will Elsa reveal more about Summer? I kinda doubt sh's in the next update, but who know?
- Is Ayua's fighty fight going to be in the next update? Will we see more of the Zanes other than Katie?
- Will we find out more about Nami's deal and Nami's history? Will Nika reveal more to Amber? If almost all the LI's have some kind of event, most likely we'll have another therapy session with Amber; will we find out more things that help us make sense of what's going on between Nika and Nami from after Summer disappeared?
- Will Nika visit Emilio and try to find out about Summer?
- Will we find out more about Dwight's connection to Sasha?
- Will we find out who the stalker redhead is?
- Will we find out more about the Zanes Petrovas and Reveras that are running the university? Will we find out who the Revera is who's on the first team?
- Will Ocean give us any hope of VIc having a miracle, seeing there are therapy sessions he's showing us scenes of?

Those are the things that I'm keen to find out. The lewd stuff will happen along the way.

Did you read DPK's latest Q&A? Most great devs are not about "feedback" or change their writing based on comments from supporters. They are executing their visions. I don't mean all AVN creators. Lets admit most of them are hacks and panderers that are creating basic crap, for fun or for money. The real artists, though, like Ocean, are trying to bring something into reality from something living in their head. Great musicians are like this, too. Yes, positive feedback can be used for motivation, but let's face it: nobody's getting positive motivation from reading these boards. Too many bitchy whiners bring me down, never mind a dev. Same i go from avn to avn daily and also play games on steam to fill out my day, this year has seen some great updates on avn's being dik is one of them a few other's smaller but also great. summer's gone is one i've been waiting for i hope to get soon, also power vaccum is one i'm waitng for, but in the mean time i keep myself busy, i do agree rushing a game is no way to build fans for the future even one fucked up update can ruin people's opinion of a dev so you have cross your I's and dot your T's before you put it out.

Probably. It's too early to say for sure, but I'm guessing her mother and Noji will play a more important role in Vanessa's story than Zara's. I think you're kind of overlooking the fact that meeting the Cyruses is also a big event for Vanessa. I mean, don't you find her behavior in chapter 4 wary and defensive? She observes and gathers information and manipulates because she sees them as a potential threat. I got that impression the first time I played and the second time that impression only strengthened.

All people wear masks when they interact with people from different social circles. To be sure that Vanessa was indeed manipulating Bella, we need to see how she behaves with her friends. What do you think she talks to them about? Her mind games or clothes, fashion, expensive jewelry, guys and the latest gossip? Was Vanessa more cautious around Bella? Probably, yeah. But it makes sense, they started hanging out for a few days. I personally don't think Vanessa plays her manipulative games 24/7.
