First, they might be considered siblings, but only through adoption, not blood relation and that fact is headcanon. And even that is shaky, since ocean make it extremely clear that Nami/mc = roommate, Noji = their guardian.

I genuinely hope that Will/Leia is merely a red herring and that MC's origin is not as predictable and bland as the "chosen one" type of intrigue.

Okay, it's true that I'm using the mod that includes the restoration stuff, so the original relationships in my game are adopted/siblings/etc., I keep forgetting that, since it's the only way I've played. However, wtf are you "chosen one" about? The MC is the MAIN CHARACTER, the Protagonist in the story. He's not the fucking messiah, or a prophet.

He's obviously related to the stuff in WIAB, because they are literally related games, in the same town, with some same people. Why do that if their stories are not connected? He took over development on WIAB and rebooted it when the team he had doing it fucked up, so it's obviously important to Ocean.

To give a serious answer: i dont know man, i was convinced that Nika is willy and Leia's child and Nami willy and daphnes and everyone else more or less too, at least every petrova, zane and maybe reverra for the longest time but ocean is changing so much and patreon ... i have no clue whats going on anymore or what could be happening.

Wouldnt even be this surprised anymore if they all came out of some kind of mysterious lab instead of having real parents just to evade the patreon incest thing at this point lol

I think it would be wasted potential for Nika to not be the son of william (or at least another cool/important guy we dont know in wiab yet, maybe someone who sacrificed himself for them or noji or even an antagonist who the zanes killed) with a 2 avn setup like that.

And lets be real, all these little connections like nami's earring or Katie appearing and being very interested in Nami and Nika would be so UBER lame if it turns out the relation is that ... i dunno .. Mr. Cyrus was Leia's driver for three months or something.

It would fit to the similar vibes im getting from wiab/sg at times compared to tv shows like Lost or The Blacklist tho lol

You were convinced because anyone with half a brain knows for a fact that's where the story was supposed to go, with a little room for twists, before the incest purge began.

Which is one of my issues with the rework. Anything that follows will 100% be contrived and retconned bullshit. And I've said it countless times before, I have no faith in Ocean as a writer to dig himself out of the hole he got himself into. But I am looking forward to seeing logic and common sense fade away more and more as he tries to shoehorn his original ideas into this new direction. I think it will be entertaining either way and I'll be here for it

When I mean "chosen one", I mean coming from a special lineage/powerful family.
A lot of story use this kind of trope where the mc, average and mundane at first, is revealed to have a powerful fate/gift/lineage to support him.
Being the son of someone like William and Leia, and being a Zane, symbolizes that kind of intrigue.

I thought it was changed to basically mirror Nika's situation. There is no blood relation and the Zanes were basically raised by Helen and Dylan, because Ocean tried to dump the incest.

I'm going to throw out my thoughts on the earring.

Leia sees herself in Nami. She sees a young girl in love with someone she likely shouldn't be, as she was with William, only to have that person move on (William left and found Miru/Nika with Summer). She gives her the earring and some comforting words, something she never got before she spiralled into depression and anorexia.

The only question is why a Petrova, a family that hate the Zane's, has possession of the matching earring.

Considering that Wiab is banned on patreon anyway already, the only logical conclusion i see is that William/Leia being related to Dylan/Helen/Katie would bring his (new) vision of SG (back) into Incest territory and he therefore changed it.

Like ... i dont know ... maybe Nika is the son of William and Katie now and wouldnt be a (blood)incest baby or i dont know, this is so dumb.

And it only works under the assumption of People taking kids in to raise them but somehow without any kind of adoption whatsoever to make them unrelated and it seems like we have this situation in both avns now. I doubt any serious country worldwide allows something like this easy peasy.

Its just such a UBER convoluted setup (and were still in the very beginning) for barely any reason or no reason at all if he really wants to keep both avns incest free.

Summers gone and Wiab could be amazing awesome and very immersive AVNs without any incest at all or with leaning fully into it.

But can SG and Wiab become amazing avns with a incest setup trying to evade incest all the time and becoming more and more convoluted? I doubt at this point.

The next two updates (wiab&sg) will hopefully be somewhat enlightening, if our knowledge about these situations stays the same after/during these updates, i will lose any hope that this will ever become a story with any hint of logic im afraid.
