If you only play one route, yes you will lose content. But that is entirely on you and a you problem for intentionally not seeing all the content there is to offer.

Also, afaik, the mod does not let you see every route etc anyway (as the vast majority of mods don't actually do either). Besides, it will most likely break the game when S2 is released.

So maybe this title just isn't for you?

very well could be. But I played Artemis recently and was amazed by the story. I read that this game isnt high on porn and is more story focused and thought it could be my jam.
And save breaking keeps happening in many games mod or not. Wouldnt be too shocked if during season2 saves wont work modded or not

Guys, I know it was probably asked quite a few times but should I add some patches here and which exactly I add?
There seems to be so many of them.
1) Walkthroud mod (scrappy)
2) Modded uncensored patch (scrappy)
3) Uncut edition mod (alain)
4) Uncut Taboo Edition mod (alain)
5) Infamous patch (alain)

Tried reading but got lost in all these. They are so similar (some of them are probably the same thing tbh)
So which ones I do add if I want to get best/full story + mod that gives explanations on choices?

I know question might not be with very straighforward answer but still would appreciate any tries

Just download all these mods together and put them in the game, you will have all the deepest secrets of the game in front of you, all the routes combined, all LI's in a harem path.....just no sex though.

The content which is cut, was cut by Ocean. Make of that what you will. You'll be doing one LONG play through with the mods, just to see a couple of scenes and no longer know what the canon story that was released was. If you've never played it, you don't know what small things you'll miss. There's like 1 vagina, a couple of penises, no sex, one scene in a jacuzzi (which is getting it's proper animation in Season 2 instead of Season 1, a couple less boob shots. Some dislogue that has been tamed.

On th other hand, the mods tell you variables - but Ocean's mentioned on discord some of variables system isn't going to be used, mainly the branching. So trying to choose the best variables is meaningless. The modders don't know what the variables might ot might not do in Season 2. The uncut mod is a mod by a fan restoring the cut content, but you miss some of the new renders this way, and the old renders are not great. The taboo edition restores the relationships (because we all know about roomies). But Ocean's moved the game away from that, so all it is is a fan interpretation.

As you have no experience of it, just play the game as the dev released it. Make saves whenever some important sounding decision occurs so you can role back.

I personally have only used the Infamous Patch, just because the patch has fixed the one or another relationships that haven't make sense in the past - and I'm not talking only about the Nika <-> Nami thing. Vic and Maja are supposed to be siblings and that was reduced to roommates, that patch has fixed that, but IIRC in the final version was that restored by Ocean - so from this perspective is this patch not necessary anymore.

I think 95% of the players there have only played Ch5 Beta, and the guys are screwed, because finishing S1 Final is absolutely necessary to start S2. Because S1 asks you for a name of that particular save after the end of the game that is used to part the needed variables from S1 to S2

The Maja and Vic relationship only needed to be obscured if Ocean was to do a threesome. As that's so unlikely now (and makes sense to the story and characters) there is no reason for Maja and Vic not to be sisters, the same way Vanessa and Zara are sisters. And yes, in the season 1 release they are sisters.

It's honestly not worth the hassle. There maybe 2 scenes that add something special, both Nami's scenes. Other than that, a few jokes cut, logos taken out nothing that really affects the story. Oh and the music has been changed, because of licensing issues.

The only significant thing the uncut adds back is two lewd scenes, that aren't even really that lewd. If you like limp penises, you'll see Nika isn't aroused a few times. It's really minor.

As far as the taboo edition goes, Ocean's stated on discord "Don't speak about/create family relationships where none are." So unless someone's specifically mentioned a relationship we're left guessing.

I think it's worth playing the game as released, because there's no guarantee the same fan mods will exist for season 2, or the fan mods will not make sense when there's some momentous reveal in a later scene.

Easiest way - play the game. Download the uncut edition and look in the folders for renders and cinematics and see what you missed.

I’ve gotten some questions regarding the branching in S2 CH1.

There is some, but not a lot.

Like there are some Bella/Mila/Nami/Zara scenes you only see on their route, but currently you can be on all those routes at the same time… I’d argue you can see 90-95% of the update in one go.

But, we also don't know if you're on all the routes, how that will backfire because it's not a harem game - maybe those things aren't set in stone yet, but Nami reacts differently to Bella and Mila if you're on her path, Mila acts differently if you're on Bellas path, so far it's just slight changes of reactions, a couple of renders. It's worth considering having a save for each path where you treat the different LI as the only one, as well as the manwhore approach, and the monk approach. You've got time before Season 2 Ch1 drops anyway, might as well make those saves.

I can only thing of two exclusive path scenes:
- if you go on the heist, you get two different scenes than if you didn't (the heist and no sickbay vs a night talk with Nami then Claire in the sickbay)
- If you say you make a great team or not to Bella (Bella rescues you or the locker room scene, which leads to another scene reveal later on).
I mean all choices shut something else off, but these two choices give you information about the characters that you can't find out anywhere else currently. Their still flavour choices, but they do tell a few interesting things.

Yeah all those choices have slightly different outcomes. But if Nika tells Bella 'we don't make a great team' the locker room scene is totally different, which lets you know someone else had a hand in handcuffing Nika (so Hill gave the handcuffs, did she do it to test Nika's mettle? Or because Katie told her to treat Nika differently seeing Hill has knowledge of Katies plan?) We only find out that Hill has been watching Nika since before Summer if we didn't choose the heist, and Bella knees Nika in the nads. So suddenly Hills involvement seems a bit more contrived. Then we find out that Melanie used to beat up Bella, and the reason Mila and Bella don't like each other. And more Kate. On that path, we also find out from Nami (when talking on the bike at night) Nika was charged with something criminal before, and we know form Officer Cerill that he doesn't have a record, so either someone's wiped his record or the charge was dropped.

So I guess it's really two different main play throughs, one where you are on Bella's path, and one where you're off it. Most other choices give you information that comes about in other ways anyway, or it's reactions like Nami's frowns when you interact with other LI's vs smiles depending if you're on her path or not.

There's nothing wrong with just making the decisions you'd make in Nika's place. We've all just had so much time between updates, we've replayed it more than once or twice while waiting. Stick with your gut, there's no WRONG playthrough. We don't know what the main storyarc really is yet, so it's hard to choose things based on goals or facts, just feelings.
