When I read Ocean dev log it feels like I am reading his personal diary or something with the amount of personal information he gives out. I find that to be very unusual since most people don't just air out personal issues they are going through so publicly. Everyone goes through trials and tribulation but people pick themselves up and move on since life waits on no one. I just hope Ocean gets through this rough patch and just concentrate on making his game and earning his living.

300 renders/week. 1800 renders left its at least 6 weeks of just creating renders, bcs its always more renders than expected. Create animations. Render everything. Code everything. 5 weeks of testing and polishing. 1 week to wait GOG and Steam to validate. 1-2 weeks of release date to create hype. We will be lucky if we get it earlier than in 20 weeks, 33 DevLogs, 10 to go.

Another week with the "Community treats", bcs its planning them,doing them rendering them, which is too much time for something not really neccessary for the game. With the move idk how much work Ocean will be able to put until next DevLog. So yeah, theres still at least 18 weeks left. 34 Devlogs, 9 to go.(we all know there will be more)

I get what you're saying, but don't think of it as a cry for help - when he didn't share this kind of stuff, people accused him of making up excuses, so it is simply an effort towards transparency, keeping people aware of the things he's dealing with. I personally don't mind the tax stuff either way, but some patreons (I'm not one) want an account of every single coin they donated, while others offer support to get the story done.

Somewhere between all the expectation's Ocean's settled on this level of transparency, just so he doesn't have to explain things over and over, he can just point people who want to know to the devlog. At least that's the way I read it.

I'm sure that he has his network of people he spoke with when the situation with his uncle was happening, we see the words but his friends and family are the ones who helped him deal with it: the devlogs aren't therapy for him, they're probably a stress he could do without.

Sounds like a personal problem. There's plenty to experience here without pining for SG. Some of it is better, some of it is worse, and some of it I regret ever opening but you live and learn.

Maybe so, but to be fair, the long gap between releases is a leading cause of the "wait, what happened before that led to this" syndrome that many people (including me) suffer from.

We all assume we will be alive to see the end of Summer's Gone but i'm not one bit Delusional in that fact 30 chapters was said to be the goal from what i know and i could be wrong. But if Season 1 is 5 chapters and that took about 5 years give or take, we can assume that Season 2 chapter 1 is not coming anytime soon because we are as of right now 1 year 6 months without no update so throw the 1 chapter a year out the window and this is just the first chapter of season 2 ,we can already assume that chapter 2 will take even longer if we judge Ocean by his past habits and work ethic. But to be fair to Ocean he isnt the only Game Developer on Patreon that takes more than a year to put out a update, it's becoming a Trend but only for those that have more than 1000 Patrons and are making pretty good income unless you are NLT Media he puts out 2 updates a month and has been for years. From what i have seen over the years once a Dev gets a little bit of success they start to slow down production and take their supporters for granted but hey don't you stop your monthy payments god forbid that and like the simps say and even the Devs now say the update will come out when it's out. But in the mean time if you want to know good Devs i can give you some that put out updates pretty fast, Desert Stalker from Zetan, Nephilim from BuuPlays, Intertwined from Nyx, Shut up and Dance from Boring Games, Fresh Women by Oppaiman, Milfylicious by Maximus, Lost & Found by Junior72, How I became a Hero by Naughty Tales Studios .Just to name a few all these Devs put out updates on a Regular unlike some Devs we know.

I don't play many as I used to and just following very few and this one is one of my fav cause I'm following this from 2020

I've never done it since my Python and Ren'Py knowledge is very, very limited but I know it can be done. I assume you just add a play statement after enabling synchro_start ? Something like

renpy.music.play("music_file.ogg", synchro_start=True)

or somehting like

   scene bella_sticks_thumb_up_her_ass
   with
   play music "Vesky - Departure.ogg"

I don't know. That's really not my forte. I just add the songs to the music folder and use the playlist function. If they don't play convert to another format that works.

And downloaded scrappy's mod SG_Season1_fix2_scrappyMod and pasted it's content inside game folder

The mod worked but whenever I download the uncensored patch SG IPatch.rpyc and paste it in game folder The patch isn't activated and nami and Nika are roommates


Any tips?

Scrappy's mod works on the game's script. Anything that changes the script is not likely to work with a mod to the script. You can't have all the script mod changes understand each other, they're all made independently.

Also, if you downloaded the lewdpatcher one, it was discontinued from ch5 beta - it doesn't work with season 1 full. On the page it even says:

"DISCONTINUED! DOESN'T WORK AND WILL LEAD TO ERRORS!"

All the fan based mods are in the OP of the thread. Just be aware, we don't know if mods will corrupt saves to carry on to season 2.
