I like Vic. I've made that clear here a bunch of times. But only as a friend, can never see her as an LI. My issues with her character have been discussed to exhaustion. She's too sweet and naive to the point of annoyance. And I also resent her character for 2 reasons. Making Maja an LI unfeasible and the emotional manipulation her character and condition tend to exert on the player. I always play good/nice routes. I take no pleasure in being an asshole or rude/dark (despite what my comments here may suggest). Therefore it's kinda hard to reject her advances for me.
Those reasons tend to make me harbor a bit of resentment toward her despite me actually liking the character quite a bit as a non LI.

Hello,
Gone are the days of the Wednesday dev logs. Welcome the age of Sunday Logs.
It makes a lot more sense to have Dev Logs on Sunday, as I don’t do render work on it and instead focus on preparation, postwork, behind-the-scenes stuff, contracts, etc.
I finished my move, and after the initial 4 days of party invites and BBQs, I have now returned to my usual working routine.
This must do for a vacation for the next two years, even though I apparently semi-agreed to a trip to Mexico next year. I blame the tequila.
I'll only go there if I can clearly say I improved the release schedule of the 2000-2500 render updates.
My Main workstation with the A6000s has been running for a few days. It and all my monitors survived the trip. No issues there.
I still haven’t connected my other PC with the 4090 as I don’t have animations to render right now and would like to produce as little heat as possible.
Renders done in the past 6 days.
Renders: 6050 -> 6300 (~250)
I currently average about 45 renders per day, and I hope to increase this to around 55 by next week.
I hate nothing more than heat, and it’s affecting my output. My A6000s are reaching 80C°+ temps for the first time ever, and my mobile AC can’t cool the room at all.
I now live in a less insulated house again, and it shows.
The Dorms
I totally forgot to mention this in the previous log…
Surprisingly, there aren’t any really good assets for a college dorm.
There are assets for specific rooms, but not the hallway itself. At least nothing that looked good enough.
So, I decided to create my own.
I modeled a very basic hallway in Blender

It’s modular, allowing me to add as many additional floors as needed in the future. (*cough* Dorm parties)

I might create an extra set based on the additional image for Nia. I really like it.
I’m certain I will create Vol. 2 before the new update releases… All I can say is… Goth Sasha hits surprisingly hard.

I generally play the same way, though the MC's personality tends to rub off on my choices (an effect of formerly being an actor, I suppose). I don't take offence at Vic or the blatant manipulation because that is what plot and writing are, trying to evoke reactions from the readers. I find Vic attractive and well written, and surprisingly pervy for someone so naive. I think we'll find she is less naive than we think, and it's just an affectation and coping mechanism, like her optimism is.
I also really like Maja and think she's one of the most beautiful females in the game (maybe Zara and Amber on top of her, but Noji has them all beat on cuteness). Really hoping for at least an encounter, once we get our parts working and head more straight....

Whats there to feel sorry for? Patreon isn't about buying a product. Its about supporting a creator. Its the classical patron model extended to the masses being able to support creators. Its the same as donating to cancer research. You're doing it to help out because you believe in the cause/creator. Its not about getting the product for a fair value.
Anyone who gives money just to "pay" for the game, would support for one month at whatever tier they feel is appropriate and then cancel the sub after that month is paid for.
Patreon’s model is a mutual exchange. Supporters pledge money to creators, and creators often offer rewards like exclusive content, behind-the-scenes access, or even quirky stuff like their cat’s paw print, you get the idea.
No one’s doing this out of charity. That’s the core of Patreon’s purpose, and anyone claiming it’s just selfless giving... well, take a cue from Boss.gif and rethink that.
When it comes to OceanLab, most supporters pledge because they love what he’s offering, whether it’s after 5 months, 8 months, or a year. The key is that most of his supporters are happy with what they get. That’s the bottom line.
To say it clearly, they’re satisfied with these updates. You can argue otherwise, but you’d be wrong.
That big ass dev log above, you see, these kind of things are the main reasons his supporters have unwavering faith in him.

I think I've given Ocean enough of my money tbh. I'll buy WiaB when it hits Steam, and I'll grab releases as they come out (sub, unsub type stuff) but past that, I'd rather my money go to other developers that I trust more.
You're right though, I know more about Ocean than I do some of my friends.

Holy shit, I love this other side of Nami and Vic! Nia is just more of what we have, which is pretty good. Too bad this is non-canon, because this elevates Nami's game a LOT for me.
