I kinda love how fucked Ocean's timeline is that when he gives us an estimate, we don't try to be realistic and expect 1-3 months after it. No, we expect a full year after the estimated time-period.
It's good for your health to have realistic expectations.
Speaking of damn deadlines, I still can't figure out why you guys decided that Ocean sets them? As far as I remember, the question "update when" was always followed by answer "when it's ready."
The various dates he sometimes gives in the discord are nothing more than his rough estimates, and they are usually inaccurate. If the rag around Zara's ass is not wrapped realistically enough, then the release date will shift, and Zara's ass will be wrapped in full accordance with the laws of physics.
What, uh, what IS the main story of SG? Does it even have one? It just seems pretty slice of life to me, with some running sub-plots, while MC and the girls all start making progress with their various issues/traumas/etc.
Yep, and slice of life is my favorite.
But actually, a larger plot is traced and we are shown pieces of it without revealing the full picture. Who are Nika and Nami, where did they come from and what is their place among the current high society of Wollust? Why does Nojiko hide a lot from them - her friends, contacts, social environment, etc.
In parallel, the theme of healing develops, for the MC and for the characters who are close and important to him. All the characters, one way or another, have experienced their own dramas and are also trying to heal of their consequences. Bella, Sasha, Nia, Zara, Mila, Vic - they are all traumatized. Even Nami, who always seems cheerful, carefree and adorable silly - as soon as the moment of truth comes, it clearly shows that this is a facade. Heck, she directly says this after MC and Bella's date when she finds out that Noji dates Nick.
And a bunch of mysteries that have no answers yet - for example, what happened to Summer?
