Im confused about my memory， Why do I remember that the SG I played before is not quite the same as the current SG?

I'm unsure if Steam is still a good idea altogether. Maybe when the Mastercard/Visa drama finally calms down he can bring it back on there. If it ever calms down. Ocean has to get his priorities straight now.
His/her games sure are popular. Patreon page down, Subscriber fund has risen to over 7,000USD per month.
As I remember it, on Patreon, Summer's Gone had over 1,000 supporters, and Where It All Began many hundreds, all contributing fixed sums monthly on a regular basis. (For a Summer's Gone tier I subscribed $6.67, monthly, converting Euros to American dollars.) That's a big hit as far as regular income is concerned, especially in Germany, where living costs are a bit above the EU average. Shame on Patreon for treating a creator with as great a talent as Ocean so spitefully and poorly, not even bothering to explain their objections or giving the artist affected a right of reply or chance of reinstatement.

I would not go on about how it affected the dev, rather how it affected the story.
I haven't even touched the WIAB. But I really loved the story and tone of the SG. I heard Patreon fucked the story so many times that it's not the same. I hope (s)he can restablish the same story as (s)he initially planned because of obvious reason.
Also I'm not going to take the dev's side on German living expenses as (s)he never really worked more than single digit hours a week.

With all seriousness, there were s-o-o-o many future events teased by the end of Ch 5 Beta/Steam Season 1 (yoga/Sunday sparring/meeting with Emilio/bar opening/kinky ho-down at the barn) that the released version of Season 2 Chs 1-3 kinda needs to cover many if not all of them after such a long delay...
Honestly, I think S2 Ch.1 will focus more on Nika's trip to that cabin in the woods and the barn party than anything else. Still, it seems to be a pretty lenghty update - if we can trust Ocean's words - so I can a lot of stuff can happen in it.
You mention all that filler, but you miss the most important thing... where is Bella in all this...they have projects to work on

Whlile I do think it will be a huge update, a portion of the renders are patch specific, as for how much I don't think one can say but it wont be 8k renders of story. I think the trip for the cabin would be a good way of ending the chapther but unless Ocean has changed his plan - with is more than possible- this updata was supposed to end before the bar opening as it would be a event with many routes and many ways to end it. So this titan of update is so far as I am aware supposed to cover two days Sunday and Monday.
I must be dumb as shit, because every time I try to drop the patch into the game directory I get the same message
Its basically acting like an un-modifiable file, any help would be awesome

- You seem to have downloaded only the first part of the split download file.
- You haven't extracted the downloaded file as the "Installation" section in the original post (OP) of the thread instructs.
- You can't extract the file unless you have all parts of the split download, see #1 above.
- Download all parts of the split download into the same folder;
- Extract the split archive and you'll find a single original game archive file in it;
- You can delete the parts of the split download after you've extracted the original game archive;
- Now extract the game archive into a folder where you want to run it. Use a folder inside your Windows user profile if you have no idea what NTFS security settings are, what they mean or how to change them;
- Now try to run the game. Do not add any patches before making sure that it works;
- Now you can add any compatible and up-to-date mods. Usually only one unless all other mods claim to be universal, the kind that won't modify original game files.
* Why so many steps and so complicated?
- Because you chose to download the split archive instead of the single download file.
