Edit: as this seems to affect only your persistent file (it should not be more thatn 4MB in size) I suggest you delete it. You will lose the cookie jar scenes but this can be unlocked again afterwards either with the game's phone cheat menu or with console commands.

So I got a weird hiccup when I loaded my game where it reset my progress with Miss Okita back to getting the master blaster. I had finished her storyline. Now I find myself having to get it in the clubhouse as the objective but the controller isn't there, it's not in my backpack, nor is the faptic engine. Essentially, I'm stuck on her quest. I have included the log file it refers to as well as the save file. Hopefully it's a quick fix cause I can't seem to get it to work.

Yes, this one is solved easily by setting parameter LOAD_ERRORHANDLING to value 4, loading the save, saving in a new slot and using that save from now on. Reset the parameter to value 1 afterwards.

You should only save in MC's bedroom or on the main town map, and never while in the middle of a quest.

You can try parameter ALTER_KEYMAPPINGS with value 0 and see if it helps. That would establish the original key mapping. If it does not help, try parameter DISABLE_MOD to check if it also affects the unmodded game.

Are you sure you are not pressing SHIFT-A? Because that's what opens that menu for me. Pressing A alone just works fine. Do you maybe have CAPS-LOCK enabled? I have deactivated CAPS-LOCK on my machine, that key just is another SHIFT key for me without locking anything. But it should not make a difference unless you press the capital A letter on your keyboard.

Also, since you tried with the DISABLE_MOD parameter enabled, I guess it would also not work on a clean installation without any mods enabled (because that should behave exactly the same). Can you try this?

By the way, what is the keyboard layout you are using (language)?

No to both.

But I did delete it and all the save data and do a complete reinstallation (again) of the game and the mod and it works ok now. I loaded the save I uploaded here and it gave an error but seems to work fine now. Thanks for your help. Great mod.

Glad it works now. What you write sounds like you had another mod in addition to Naughty Tribute installed which is not compatible or outdated.

• Fixed broken naming of the mod's alternate screenshot naming mechanism.
• Added Wah Wah sound effects (like in the Peanuts movies) for talking characters. Controllable by new configuration parameter WAHWAH. This feature is experimental and disabled by default.
• Added some more ambient sounds for increased immersion.
• Re-encoded the mod's sound files to a more suiteable bit rate, saving about 1.5 MB in total.
• Fixed some more inconsistencies and bugs with the mod's enhanced german translation package (must be downloaded separately)
• Workaround for some character stories not progressing correctly (e.g. Maria not present in storage room). See parameter LOAD_ERRORHANDLING with value 5.

Should be possible. But either way if you break it you could always install fresh without losing anything of you keep your saves.

This screen should already be disabled. Do you use a translation pack? Do you have parameter USE_TRANSLATION set to vanilla mode?
