"A long time ago" this game wasn't nearly as popular as it is now. DC didn't have plans to have a huge game that it seems to be turning into. It was a pet project of his. It blew up in popularity in the last year and, upon seeing that, decided that he needed to start reworking the code to accommodate future updates.

This patreon ALWAYS had good (if not great) funding, friend. Far as I know last year it only jumped from 30k+ to the 50k region.

In the first months the money was quite humble. The really big growth came about a year ago after 0.15 - actually just by the time he started to release those really big updates. And right now we are indeed dealing with those mistakes which have certainly been made during that first year.Nope, I just said in what I belive in. I'm infoanarchist, don't belive in "intellectual property" and think that people should not support bad content creators. I doesn't matter if it concerns DarkCookie, Bethesda or EA. More and more products it's going to shit and there should be reaction to that.

Hi, I'm not being able to pay the sister so that she talks to Roxxy, just started from zero, ideas? Tried to get to the console, to see that's up, changed the file as told, it does nothing (shift+O) on the game for me.

I'm curious about the new character who's supposed to be unlocked in the game but let's be honest it's a lot of "déjà-vu" with risk of bug and get stuck for restart (again) the happy heart and see 4 new scenes .
Currently there is only Roxxy who for me has both an interesting story and a satisfying number of scenes.
Oh And I almost forgot the halloween quest.
The quests of the teachers with for 4 introduced a little variety with a good story even if I regret that DC is put a music teacher with HUGE tits not to make us really benefit.
The story that brings the mother, sister and aunt to bed has no great interest. it's mostly for incest sex.
Mia has a good story but for what? His update we especially benefited from his mother and the nun SM? Mia only a strip and an Hscene in a position.

No, I sad that those reworks we see now are about content which was made when the game made little money. Most of Jenny's content was literally made in first 6 months for example and badly needed to be updated. Once it was clear that the game would make really big money (basically a year ago, as you say) they changed to a way better strategy. But that doesn't remove all those things which had been produced before that.

That was my bad, I thought you were the guy I was talking to at first who was saying this game was "unpopular" until last year. This game was making 4-6k six months into development. There's popular games in this site that are making 500 bucks YEARS in. No matter how you see it, this game was shooting for the moon almost since the beginning. The exponential growth alone was enough to make anyone realize it.

As for these updates taking so long because they focus on "old" characters from early builds of the game that require too much work on code and whatnot, I guess all we can do is wait and see if, when they move on to NEW content, they still take as long to produce.

I think in this case it's mainly about scale. SS started as "DC trying to teach himself coding" and that still shows. They took his code, improved it and at some point relized that it just wouldn't work and that the whole game needed a proper base. The same goes for the art. At some point they recognized that the game would become unplayable on android if they'd not introduce the rig-system (which basically means to redraw most old stuff) and optimize it as much as possible.
One may blame them for the lack of foresight but I find it hard to not agree with those decisions. If they'd stuck to the old and messy code, the game would probably be completely unplayable by now.
