Even when the Update comes out you should keep the abandoned tag on unless the next update is released in 3 months or less. I think after the Helldivers 2 fiasco, consumers who buy games and support developers are finally reaching a breaking point with scams.

As far as I'm aware, it was never really about her whole story, just about that one scene, where she was sleeping. As such they decided to move the scene further back into her story, where it was clearer that she'd agree. I mean, her old story was little more than her demanding money from MC (for toys, pants, whatever), while MC randomly sneaked into her bed/shower. In that regard he was just the usual late-2010s-weg-creep-MC and I'm honestly not sad at all that they removed these elements. He wasn't really leading, he was just trying to get into her pants when it was hard for her to refuse.
DC mentioned some time ago that they'll indeed elaborate Jenny's choices, so the submissive/dominant branch should become more distinct.

Something tells me there's going to be backlash when this first part of the tech update comes out in late May. The fans have been starving for some actual content in 3 years, DC is making a BIG mistake only putting out Jenny & Debbie's earlier content. This isn't going to keep the fans busy. I also believe this may lead to DC's patreon followers finally waking up and calling him out. I'm telling you man, this is just a calm before the storm...

Yeah, I just listened to that part - and he was responding to a question from chat if everything in the new game is widescreen and he was saying that there are still a few older animations that haven't been updated to widescreen, but that 99% of the art and animations have been. He wasn't saying what would/would not be included in the first chunk, he was talking the overall art content.
Since prior to 2018, Patreon has had in their guidelines that the following is prohibited from their site: nonconsensual sex (even consensual sex that simply appeared nonconsensual - if it was difficult enough to tell apart), even in drawn/cgi artwork. In 2018, v0.15.0, DC altered several scenes (such as the sleep sex scene with Jenny) when he also removed any incest. This was done because he wanted to remain on Patreon.
What do you mean changed/renewed? Debbie's content will remain as it is in the current version, v0.20.16, except that it will be in 16:9 and some technical aspects will be revised, perhaps a little script clarity, and all in an updated Ren'Py engine with the new coding behind it. Except for pregnancy, Debbie's route is considered completed at this time and probably won't get anything until after all the other routes are completed.
I agree with your point about backlash. However, it has been stated over and over and over and over that the next update is the tech update (whether in whole or chunked out) that wouldn't include new content. If followers aren't aware of that, it's their own fault for not taking a moment before unzipping the game and unzipping their pants. I think the chunking will cause some anger for those who aren't as aware that when DC says "only" their content that is exactly what he means - not "only" their content and the rest of the tech update in the old format.
I don't agree with your point about Patreon results. It's not like the 30k supporters are the same people since day one. In fact, it wouldn't be unimaginable that the average supporter is only a few months at $1 or $5. Yes, there are diehards that have been there for months and months, even back to the first days of DC on Patreon. However, if the couple of the folks here who regularly share information from the subscriber's area of the discord and the monthly patreon posts are any example of his more ardent supporters, he's not really going to lose many of them. It would be the ones who have been supporting most recently that may roll off... but then with the new release - even only being a chunk - DC would gain at least some (if not all or more) of that revenue back from new subscribers. If the results match DC's hype. If.
The abandoned flag ONLY applies to F95 because DC hasn't released the update in more than 18 months. It has no relevance to what is going on outside of F95.
He's still streaming artwork creation on most weekdays on Picarto. He's been making monthly announcements about progress over the past year. The last announcement was that they hope to have a chunk of the tech update available to be released by the end of May.
You only needed to read the post directly above yours before you posted in order to realize this.
yeah actions speak louder than words and even if the creator is saying something doesn't mean he is doing something if he was releasing updates on another platform and this is his public release that would be different but he is just saying what he wants to add and how he will do it in due time 18 months without actions means abandoned period and if someone wants to pick up development i don't see why not especially if they have content to add by the end of A week or even a day and lets say the original creator does have a patreon for his game but is not releasing updates or anything meaningful i would still say the game is abandoned either way someone who wants to make money or even just add content for the community should be allowed by site rules
