i thought taffy tales was the only game where dev was crazy enough to train an AI model on his own art and then fully outsource his art to the AI
(And not even bother cleaning up the errors like that pic where a girl has 3 anuses)

do these devs not understand that what made them stand out is their quality hand drawn art and that replacing it with crappy AI imitation will ruin their game?

They dont really care since they already have a following and games like this prove you can basically do anything, like not update your game for literally years and people will still keep throwing money at you. At this point it seems their goal is to keep the money steadily flowing while doing as little work as possible.

They dont really care since they already have a following and games like this prove you can basically do anything, like not update your game for literally years and people will still keep throwing money at you. Yes. but the switch to AI is undermining that goal.
There are countless examples of people or companies pissing away their success and regretting it later.
