What is this Weird Tech-Update even supposed to do? Didn't they want to change the Game to 16:9? Its still 4:3 for me...

I'm 100% certain at this point they are just dragging it out with doing as little as possible to milk their patreons.

I would like to remind everyone in here who complains about the updates (as every update ppl complained in the past and will in the future) about one important thing you all accept on almost everything but when it comes to this game or fap games in general you conveniently blend that all out.

1. Eating at a restaurant. Yes it took over an hour to get your food but it was the best food you had in a very long time. No complaining there. Sure you could but the chances that the waitress or the chef would spit on your food or do other nasty stuff is so high you might as well be quiet and play it safe. Any intelligent person would be quiet and not start something they might regret afterwards.

2. Repairing your car. Yes this will take a week to fix the issue. No one goes and tells the mechanic to hurry the fuck up with it as you need your car as this could open the possibility of the mechanic not fixing your car at all and wishing you good luck with your attitude while you still have to pay the mechanic for the stuff he already did. Not sure if this is legal in the US but in Europe you bad mouth your mechanic and you can get a new one cause he won't fix shit for you anymore.

3. Getting something fixed in your apartment. Yes go to your landlord and complain about something being broken and then push it further by demanding it to be fixed almost instantly. Or at the least very fast. If it is not life threatening or something you could legally cut from the rent the landlord won't do shit for you instantly. So the best approach for you would be to swallow your pride and ask nicely and when to expect those certain things to be fixed instead of demanding it.

In all of those scenarios and many more you accept long waiting times because stuff being well done takes time. Especially if you need to pay for said stuff you want your money's worth and not something rushed.

Yet when it comes to a dev team of 5 ppl or so who make around 60 to 80k a month all of a sudden they have to produce results like a Triple A Studio over the course of years in mere months.
The only artist who handdraws every frame of the game has to be picasso himself in terms of art style and lucky luke in terms of speed.
The updates have to add new exciting stuff regardless if the game has more spaghetti code than all of italy has pasta.
And to top it all off the main complainers on every update are ppl who never supported any dev on this board in their entire life nor will they ever.

Thats like going into starbucks demanding a free coffee and complain about the coffee and get mad when the staff is asking you to leave only to stand outside and ask every customer who leaves starbucks to get a free coffee so you can complain more about how it tastes........

Interesting examples. But you left out the more realistic sides of all of them.

1. Eating at a restaurant. It's disgusting that people have to be afraid to make a valid complaint about their food to avoid eating spit. Order was wrong? Food was burnt or raw? Or just plain bad because of poor ingredients/chefs? Keep quiet and be thankful anyway. Pizza cold because they left it on the counter for 8 minutes before getting around to bringing it out? Better not say anything. You are the people doing the spitting in this example. Proud of that? Gross.

2. Repairing your car. It's very common for mechanics to overcharge, take their sweet time doing the work, and tell you they found 4 "new problems" that also needed to be fixed, a total lie so they can charge you more money. They get away with all this because most people are clueless about cars, that's why they go to mechanics in the first place.

3. Getting something fixed in your apartment. You often have to fight the landlord tooth and nail to get them to do anything. They procrastinate, they put it off for days, weeks, months. They just wanna collect rent without having to do anything. When they finally get around to it, they might decide to fix the problem themselves to save money, and do an awful job of it.

Most of these situations with these games that people call out, it's like going to starbucks, ordering a coffee, watching the barista sit there texting for 12 minutes, then finally making your coffee, a 3 minute process. Then when you say "What the hell man? What were you doing all that time?" They reply with "Making coffee just takes 15 minutes." Then every other customer chimes in and says "It takes time, stop complaining."

6 scenes nobody likes is still content. Story won't happen this year. About a year of pre-techs.

Too much BS for me, don't try to defend what is not defendable mate....

How many supporters do the game have?, times that for just a simple USD, gets you a very decent income, not sure what tax is but I would still think that it pays off big time, otherwise the man would be in a full time job else where, rather than drawing and making porn games, plain and simple.

How long has been on Patreon with thousands of supporters? Where supporters numbers grew, thus revenue for the game, did we see better, quicker faster updates?, take away pregnancies and pandemics, ....I don't think so. Yet we were promised those, among other things that never happened or they got pushed because other things came along that were more important, technically for our benefit, but with extended terms and delays on delivery, one wonder who really benefits, then looking at supporter numbers, you cannot fault yourself for thinking that could be the reason, month after month...then release something, to justify and put everyone's mind at ease.

We give true feedback/public opinion, and you cannot put a price on that, lots of companies pay money to get surveys to get same feed back we give here for free. Unfortunately truth hurts sometimes, again, feel sorry for supporters that don't see they are getting back what they put in, as I felt that way along time ago, and it's so frustrating, because is such a great game.

Ok, rant off. I wont be replying or talking about it any more, I have nothing left to say.

It's a huge difference if you pay for a service (be it eating out, having your car or flat fixed, etc.) or if you get it done for free/get a free lunch.

If you are a paying customer who is promised a product or service, it's your right to get that (that the situation with most games, where devs actually sell their game or charge ridiculous sums for early access), but that's not the case for SS.

If you get something for free it's totally fine to be unhappy about it, to suggest what could be done better or to not take it, but anything beyond that (like actually demanding changes) is kinda questionable.

No, it means there is a Tech update coming, and these three updates are minor updates that came before (pre = before) the tech update to keep us warm...

I don't have personal experience being duped by a pyramid scheme, but I'll still have some words about it despite not being one of their "customers" and buying their "Super Power Juice Mix" or whatever.

None of what I've said is specific to this game or this update cycle. Nice try at dismissal but, just no. There could be zero milking happening, that would be great. I don't know with 100% certainty and neither does anybody else. Often it's obvious but this game seems to be skirting the line if anything. But like I said, I'm less inclined to believe the side that's spewing utter dog shit (like the stuff I'm replying to) Just don't be intellectually dishonest and/or mentally deficient. If you're right, you shouldn't need to.

How to trigger new scenes ?does anybody know?

Just click on the wifi symbol of the phone, unlock all cookie jar scenes and watch from the main menu. Almost all new scenes are embedded in the various stories so you'd have to replay a lot just for those few mostly lame scenes.

I'm saying from the beginning that the game is free and that nobody is a paying customer for the game. You may get some side tokens, but the game is the same and free for everybody. Is that so hard to understand?

Nah i'm the former chat mod of DC that got really tired of banning ppl from chat for asking the same questions for years or complaining about the same stuff over and over again without adding anything fruitful to the conversation aside from "Me horny me want stuff faster and not pay a penny to you for it" and quit after i explained many times that the only alternative is to get a publisher funding this project and a staff of 30 or more ppl working on the game.

Everyone is fast on complaining but when you ask for alternatives they all get very quiet fast. Either you get many small updates and ppl complain that there is nothing to do after each update. Or you get big updates and many complain about that the updates take to long.

Yet when u ask them on how to get faster and bigger updates they all point towards the money which starts a discussion about taxes and other financial stuff in which they always lose every argument as they have no clue what they are even talking about and always assume that the 50 to 70k a month always end up in DC's pocket without any deductions or salary for staff. Those are the ppl that think if you make a million bucks you keep a million bucks and the tax office only sends you flowers and a "Congratulations" card. Absolutely ridiculous.

TLDR The presented alternatives over the years have been so ridiculous that taking them serious have gone from "Wait you for real?" to the realm of "Fantasy and other daydreaming"
