Updates taking 6 months? With little teases of wallpapers to help stand by? Starting to get ICSTOR flashbacks
You might want to seek help for that particular PTSD, since flashbacks are a case of past trauma causing confusing with past and present situations, resulting in an inappropriate, unrealistic response to present circumstances.

I've been lurking here for a while now and I have a question that I haven't seen answered yet. This isn't me complaining; I'm patiently awaiting more of this game as its one of the first I found and I love it. Could someone who understands the process please explain how the status has remained at 80% with 553 tasks for months but generally has at least a few tasks done "in the last 24 hours" every day? What are the things done in 24 hours that aren't moving the progress bars?

More tasks get added as they discover them, so they're working and making progress but the percentage of work that's been done stays the same. At least that's how I think it works, I'm just a layman.

That being said I love you pfp and I wholeheartedly agree.

Yeah, I've tried to point that out, that tasks are being completed, though some tasks are added as the project continues.

The "X changes in the last 24 hours" aren't task completions but updates pushed to the working project code base. Think of it like saving a change to a shared cloud document. These changes frequently include smaller items like bugfixes or modest code improvements. The tasks in the tracker are larger project goals like "Posing Character Y" or all the art for a particular location. You can see some examples of what constitutes a task here, which have been copied from the task tracker available to patrons.

The reason the current tasks are taking so long to complete is that they're considerably larger than usual. For example, in a normal update each posing task would usually be a single event for a single character. In the tech update, a single posing task can comprise all of the art and events from one character's story, which previous updates have shown could take the better part of a month.

We're also not entirely sure how accurate the task tracker is at this point. Most of the current tasks shown to patrons are censored and the bits and pieces we've gotten from Discord show a project heavily in flux, so it's anyone's guess as to when we'll see the update.

Excellent explanation! TYVM

Hello guys, the game isn't completed ? :)
And may never be... at least not until the developer gets bored with it after at least a several more years. It already has more content than initially planned (and has more content than the vast majority of adult game titles - completed or not), even though not all the original goals have been completed. There are always more new ideas, suggestions, and characters that the developer looks to implement.

People should change their concept of "game" when it comes to digital media - particularly in this day and age of subscriber-based funding - and really think of these as series, continuations, explorations, etc. such as a television series (for example, "The Simpsons" will only end when the ratings aren't there) or a novel anthology or a movie franchise. As long as the fandom is there, as long as the funding is there, as long as the fun for the developer is there -- a title may never see "completion" in the traditional sense.

Now, if you mean has the "main" quest of the game been finished? One of the three main quests is complete - finding out what happened to the MC's father. Really, the second quest is pretty much "done" (in my opinion) and that's finding ways to earn bank. The third quest is still in development - the dating aspect to go to the big dance.

That said - as it says on the developer's Patreon page: DC plans on "continuing to add quality content and expand the universe (potential story expansions)." And on their website: they "still have a lot of content left to make and the game is very open ended."

I absolutely agree with you.
I find the game complete. I can't even pick up because I find that there is no other game that looks like it. It's complete and I love this type of point/click game.
Hope they fix it...

Looks like progress. I would however hypothesize that the task bar is not updated as frequently for this update, since the size of each task makes it hard to really define when it is done
I think it will be done when they let us know when and where we can download it.
For crying out loud, it's free, even if it takes another year. There is plenty of stuff to play and quite a lot of content if one wants to do another play through.
