STS is probably hands down the most well done VN that i've ever played. the sex scenes are the main reason any of us are here. if he's giving the people what they want but it takes FOREVER to make, then waiting is what we must, no? i mean i don't see any of us creating porn games with even HALF as good animations. it may take a long time but maybe we should cut the guy some slack?

Bro is making almost 60K a month - a MONTH - to update a porn game once a year.

I’m not a game dev by any means, but I think most people can tell when something fishy is going on. I’ve seen plenty of devs with not even that big of a team consistently update and innovate with their games with 10 times less money.

I don’t think this guy is technically scamming here, but I also don’t think it’s far-fetched to say that he clearly knows the system and is using it to his full benefit.

'all you need to know' is that summertime saga has NEVER had a fast update pace, it's always been extremely slow right from the beginning. this is not an exception.

but the updates still always come, and they're always about the same size.

is it worth the 60K he's getting? of course not. but that's not why he gets so much. he gets it because he has so many supporters, and that's a consequence of him never having dropped the game, never having significantly slowed his pace. his pace might be frustrating but it is dependable and steady. maybe that's why he's still able to do it after, what, 7 years?
