I knew about Summertime Saga WAY before I knew about F95zone. I think of it as more of a gateway drug. A starting point. If anything I'd say SS has led more people here than the other way around.

Wouldn't surprise me, if you're hunting for free adult game downloads you'll eventually find your way here. I definitely found Summertime Saga through F95 but I can't for the life of me remember what brought me to F95. Probably hunting for alternative links to a game I found on Planetsuzy or some other out-of-the-way forum.

Well, whoever set up the way this was to be coded definitely had no clue what they were doing ... every character has the same scripts .. every location has the same scripts .. etc .. I assume this is the reason for the tech update. For every person, event location or other object that is added, a ton of scripting has to be done. Better to create a single class or instance of these scripts and process based on the object passed to them. It's crazy how much work there must be to add anything in the game at this point. yeah .. I see why coding is taking so long. What I don't understand is why progress has been stagnant the past year. I don't know if DC has bothered looking for a new coder but I do understand why he hasn't been able to interest anyone to redo the code (if he has). That is a freakin nightmare. BUT .. the actual code is sound. It's just how it has been organized and structured since the start.

I decided to check it out. Hell, one content provider on PornHub, alone, has more Summertime Saga video views than the 40 million views of this F95 thread.

This makes no sense - no one buys the game from anyone. If a person has internet connection, they can download the game directly from DC for free from DC's website. No registration required. No payment required. No subscription required. They don't need to go anywhere else to get it for free.

What are you talking about with "2 new updates since 2022" - there's been zero updates since 2022. No bug fix and no "new content" preventing anything ....
After 31 March 2021, at the start of the development of the tech update, there were 7 pre-tech update releases that included over 40 new animations/scenes that included addition angles and positions of some existing scenes as well as new scenes.
Since 31 October 2022, there's been only 1 release - that was in the past month or so of the APK that had no new content but simply made the APK compatible with newer versions of Android (which is a major segment of DC's subscriber consumer base).
That release did not trigger any change for the
abandoned flag/prefix on F95. It will be eligible for that flag/prefix, per F95 rules, when there is no update by 30 April 2024. If you want the staff to consider adding the flag/prefix, make sure to request it by using the REPORT button at the bottom of the first post of the thread at that time.

How many of you have written a line of code?
I can't code to save my life but even I know that you can't write code for a scene without the scene being available. So if you want to blame someone at least direct it to the right people.
That isn't necessarily true. A lot of code can be written without art assets if you know what you're doing.

actually you can, i mean, whenever i program, for example, i always use an turtle image as a placeholder to test if its working then later i replace with the new images, you don't really need an drawing for an code, you need a code for a drawing...

Fair, although, you could still use a placeholder for coding purposes and replace it with finished assets. That's first.
Secondly, isn't the art already (or almost) complete? According to the progress bar?

Took the words from my mouth.
Part of the tech update was renaming all the assets so they are easier to work with, I would guess that would imply having a sort of naming system for assets and knowing how they will be named. You can basically code all of the stuff related with assets using placeholders with the same names you already know they are going to have and just replace the placeholders for the real assets once the art is done.
I don't believe they don't do this because they are milking their Patreons like people like to imply, I just believe they don't do this out of sheer incompetence and inexperience working with IT projects like these in the past.
this game is abandoned imo. it's been like a year since the bar reached 80%. the guy makes tens, maybe hundreds of thousands on his patreon, why can't he hire more people?. This game's done for, i'm not giving it another cent
Wouldn't it be funny if the game gets the "Abandoned" tag, it gets celebrated here and one day later an update drops and the tag goes away...

I think it'd be funnier if the mods just never tagged the game as abandoned. All the abandoned tag fetishists, edgers, and gooners would blow a fucking gasket. There'd be riots.
