To be fair, his character works perfectly even if people don't know who he is. If it wasn't for Rump, we'd have another character who'd be the corrupt, sleazy, megalomaniac major to fill that roll. So it's not like you'd need any kind of knowledge, if you have it it's just a little extra. In the end it's not like DC adds these characters as additional assets, but they usually fill roles which would have to be filled anyway. With some minor exceptions here and there, maybe.
Rump is actually among the parody characters I mind the least, while there are some others who I personally wouldn't have added.

Yeah, hoping for more pizza time in this update. Honestly I just want this update out of the way so we can get to Ronda, which is an update I also want out of the way so we can get to Annie.
Haven't seen a good answer for this...but how the hell do you beat Dexter in the fight??? Max stats and the 3rd bar ends in 1 second.

20.5 will come out either at the end of September or in October. 21.0 will be February at the earliest since DC and his team will take most of December off.

Yes, DC will take the next week off of stream to finish the remaining art tasks for the update.

Calling it, 20.5 announced by October, but delayed until April 2021, 21.0 will be out between December 2021 or February 2022. Meanwhile full release will be 2025

There is nothing surprising in this. The game started in 2016 and then there was still no particular competition and the number of supporters grew faster. Now new games appear more and more often. Several new ones every day.

When it comes to 2d games there isn't much competition really. One of the new games that I'm excited about is What a legend. It doesn't have that much content yet but the art is really good.

To be fair though, it's not all an exaggeration. While the 20.5 and 21.0 is, the full release being 2025 might be kinda optimistic. There's still so much to be done even among the existing characters, it could easily end up going longer than that. Assuming it will be finished at all.
Edit: I mean what, assuming a generous 3 patches a year, we're really talkin' about version ~28.0. Does anyone really think the game will be done at version 28.0? I know I don't.
