I get having a trans character and I see no problem with it. Unless there is another character that I've missed I'm pretty sure you get to chose if the character in question is female or trans so what's the big deal?

And no, the original plan was to have a trap character (aka a dude dressed as a girl for the sole purpose of baiting MC into thinking he's a girl), the trans trait/char appeared way later when Eve was the only schoolgirl left and DC fell for his own schemes/jokes and transformed it to trans for whatever reason (possibly a continuation of said joke)

Technically and depending of what definition you take/use, male Eve can be a futa (girl with a dick or dude with boobs). Just like NTR, "futa" can be a few things (especially if you go the japanese game route)

As said before, I think it was more the case that DC just didn't care about the usage of his words, as was explained above. As far as I'm aware he did indeed care about a proper story quite early on and an actual "trap" was never on the table.
Doesn't the term futa usually include both a dick and a vagina? The futas which are often shown in games are basically just fantasy and can't actually exist in reality.

A reality-reliant futa would be a hermaphrodite : both sexes into 1 person. Whatever we get in games isn't and doesn't need to be reality-based.

Adding to the arguments, I just kinda think the Eve trap/trans thing was kind of poorly executed in general. I think there are a lot of areas where it could of been handled better and it just ends up feeling more natural in relation to the rest of the game that Eve is a girl by birth.
Don't forget that this game is made for sexual release. You people just taking this too seriously. This site is definetly not for you if you seek compeling story about transgender people.

I see your point, but I disagree. You are basically saying adult games are porn first in nature which is untrue. The story is important to give life and drive to the sex scenes and the more compelling the story, the more intense and rewarding that scene is. Build up and payoff are essential in these games, which is the main reason why 95% of all adult games are complete trash.
I am not going to argue with you about that but that is how things are on this site.

In the end there's has to be some kind of compromise between what should be done (which is something one can argue about) and what can actually be done. The cutscenes already take a good chunk of DC's time and adding a lot more story will also increase the time it takes to release and update.
While I'd fully agree with what you are saying, one just has to accept that we aren't talking about a simple VN or indeed light novel/book and as such it's not always that easy to just add "more story" while maintaining the quality and the schedule.

I'm not arguing that it needs to have more story. I'm simply arguing that a good story is just as important to the game as the porn. And for the most part the game really gets it right in that aspect. And yeah, its almost to a fault at times, with the story far outweighing the porn content, but I'm actually really happy with where the game is right now. My original argument was that I didn't think the Eve trap/trans reveal felt natural within the game, but that is just one small instance where I felt the writing kind of failed. Overall I thought Eve's story was really good, but it just kind of fumbled on the trans subject matter.

In that case I may have missunderstood you. I thought you meant it like "her story was bad as it is and as such it should have been elaborated further to fix it".
I'd fully agree that there are quite a few gaps in her story, but then again, these exist in every story and such I don't really mind them.
