It was sarcasm on my part. I wouldn't want voice acting, I don't like when devs add moan sounds they can find to scenes either. My point was that it would only add to already super long waiting times between updates, 4 months being a lot of time or not enough is not my point.

It was disabled by the developer a long time ago. I believe the Naughty Tribute mod linked in the OP enables it, again.

might as well mark this abandoned, despite what the dev says. because at this point, this tech update has taken longer than it took a smaller team to develop minecraft!

Doesn't DC do like daily streams of him working on the game on his Discord? Just because he works at a glacial pace, doesn't mean it's abandoned.

I forget--does it also affect Erik's household? That one is pretty obvious as well, given their genetic similarities.
Why are people on this site so anxious to mark slow-moving games as abandoned? What do they think that will accomplish? Do they think the devs will somehow be shamed into working faster? I really don't understand it.

As I mentioned to you already two days ago - #71,445 -- all mod questions should go in the threads of the mods.
Also, based upon your experiences already - perhaps mods are the way for you to go. You might have a better experience going mod-free.

Because people don't understand what effort and skill it takes to make games, it takes time and things can and will go wrong. Granted; this tech-update is exceptionally bad and there's reason to be alarmed, but the majority of people act like they've got it all figured out.
