While I don't necessarily agree with "a dozen scenes within a month" it really seems like they want to lose money/patrons.
I get that these scenes complete the game, but that's really all they are meant to do and to be - scenes that add to the lewd mood and that people "skip through" while they play these stories.
Yes, we need these, too, but it's really a contradiction to release them and nothing else as part of an update that's meant to keep people happy while they are waiting.
DC doesn't really seem to care that much about money, etc. but this whole last year is just such a waste of potential...
A dozen was a reach, granted, realistically 6-8 good ones is more in line. But my point was less about the quantity and more about the quality, and I strongly disagree that this batch added to the proper mood of the game. The other Pre-tech scenes we've gotten have added not just to the lewdness but to the story. Eve's scenes were hot as hell and gave us more ways to hang out with her. Grace's scene furthered her relationship with the MC and showed how torn she was between needing the intimacy and feeling guilty about going behind Eve's back. Jenny's pregnant sex scene, while not my cup of tea, showed her continued thawing towards the MC. Becca's scene built on the mini-harem you're making with Roxxy's circle and furthered her own improved relationship with the MC. They added extra layers of characterization and felt like bonuses that enhanced the existing storylines.
The scenes we got today had
none of that. The two lesbian scenes were short, pointless, and added content to characters that currently have none and will likely have none for literal years. The Terry/Sarah scene was randomly inserted into a very old questline. Giving Odette boob- and blowjob scenes after we've had freaky vampire sex with her in a crypt is thoroughly underwhelming. And the Iwanka scene was not only gross but reinforced that in a town full of dumb cumdumps she is by far the dumbest and the dumpest.
I can think of a number of animations off the top of my head that would have worked better and been better received:
- Upgrading Debbie's shower scene (or really any of her scenes)
- Turning sex with Diane on the couch into a full scene
- Adding home pool scenes to any of the girls
- Having Roxxy spend the night in your room
- Giving Melonia a hot tub scene
- A Missy solo scene of any kind to match what we got with Becca (maybe school shower?)
- Scenes with the girls from the factory who want to show their gratitude for you freeing them from the mob
The Pre-tech updates should be tokens of gratitude to the fans and patrons for their continued patience in the face of the the continued delays of the tech update. What we got today wasn't "Let's give them something really hot and special to fill out the game and show them that we care", it was "Fuck, it's February and this fucking update isn't gonna be done any time soon; what's the quickest low-effort shit we can get done before the end of the month?".
