Well when I used to watch his streams he often talked about his plans for the ending so at least at some point he intended to finish it.First, true. However what is the scam? No one is promised anything for their subscription except for what is stated in the tier benefits on Patreon. Which DC and the Dev team do adhere to. The game is not a tier benefit. A finished game is not a tier benefit. At no time does DC say if he doesn't get $$$$ that he won't be able to work anymore.
Second, true and false. True that this game has always been free and will be free for the foreseeable future. False on it always intended on being finished. In fact, DC has stayed many times, as early as 2017 in interviews, etc that:
And has mentioned as recently as September that he could easily see 100, 200, even 300 NPCs for Anon to interact with.
I've agreed with some of your posts in the past but at this point I think this situation is indefensible. When people voted for the tech update they did it because he said it would only take around 9 months. Almost 4 years later and it seems like it is not even close to being finished. And now that he is finally releasing something, the updates are so small that they aren't even worth playing.
Is scam the right word to use? I don't know, but it sure does feel shady as fuck.
If the art is ready then why not release it? Pardon my ignorance friend im only trying to understand

oh there are scenes yes. but wip.5091 has 23 more scenes than wip.5252 so this is a downgrade than an update and it is a much more downgrade than the first tech-downgrade to be honest. art is still good tho.

And their developers ended up getting lazy and continue to drag their customers until the last bit of milk. and now we see these games sinking little by little into ridicule.

didn't he say it's going to take 3 months and with the promise that updates after would come out way faster? nobody would have voted for it otherwise, from listening to DC streams he knows that people think he's a milker/scammer but he doesn't give a fuck (as long as money keeps rolling in probably)
