Every update invites criticism, you need to accept that, the dev works on what is the most well known games in the adult community and many in that community feel a disgust for what it represents, anyone knew should know what they are getting into, if this thread was left to nothing but those that are somehow still happy with the progress and shills, then they would not be aware of how fucking lazy the dev is. That there are other dev's that are worth supporting, that they aren't all like this.

NOT IN THE LEAST
A LOT of content was still missing when he started the tech update:
1) A lot of characters he introduced in the very early updates (0.1, 0.2) that STILL have no storyline/content:
- Judith
- Annie
- the principal
- Rhonda
- gym teacher
- the librarian
- the swimming pool lifeguard
- latina duo
- sex shop girl
- yoga girl (Anne?)
2) Mia's story needs more content: her quest was in fact her mom's quest;
3) same with Mrs Johnson's story (which was Erik's mom before Patreon said no to incest): it needs more content;
4) we were promised Diane's story rework (MC's aunt in fact) but it never happened;
5) WE NEVER HAD the promenade ballroom event at the end of summer + dating system (MC is supposed to date every girl he screws).
We were promised all of this BUT we had tech update, pointless random mafia side chicks, korean dictators and the Rump family.
Well, FUCK IT.

people still defending this are brain dead. of the content in the pre tech update build, 90% of it was done in about a year and 1/2. so 18 months to get basically everything it would get content wise. then 5 years of "tech update" later and there is less content. and if you track the patreons only over time since the tech update first got floated, this game has made around 5 million dollars. (i should note that this is the conservative estimate asuming every patron only donate 1$ meaning at least 5 million, but probably more) thats give or take 1 million a year to do pretty much nothing. there are other games out there with only a single dev no team, that can (and did) produce multiple games in that time, and they didnt need 5 million dollars to do it. he was given that 5 million with the expectation that it would contribute to the completion of this game, but it clearly did not, that is definitionally fraud. thus scammer.
dont get me wrong though, i have great respect for dark cookie. i only wish i was smart enough to find a way to make 5 million by doing almost nothing for 5 years, and clearly hes going on to make even more with the like of that count and notimportante shilling for him. its rather brilliant really. if only i could be so amazing as to have a cult following like that defending me for taking 5 million from people and give nothing back. truly the greatest scammer of this era. ive no doubt that in a few more years and a few more million people will stop referring to patreon milk scams as milk scams but instead "darkcookie schemes" or perhaps a "milk and cookie scam" putting his name up there with other legends of the craft like Charles Ponzi inventor of the Ponzi scheme.

Edit: not even borderline at this point tbh. I think it's fair to call it a scam. The massive content drought pre 21.0 is when it was barely debatable but what the hell is this since then? Inexcusable

Where I don't agree with is your statement here making it sound like the adult community is some super big pillar of disgruntled unity. I'm sorry, but when you have dudes who willingly throw hundreds upon hundreds of bucks at some e-thot to show off her feet or cooch that are also part of said 'adult community' then you gotta admit the wider community has no legs to stand on when it comes to complaining about getting scammed. Some are clearly fine in getting fleeced off their money.
Kinda hilarious how the Jenny story is actually a reflection of exactly that.

actually, the example you use yourself proves that this is in fact a scam. and the massive difference between them.
you see, simps who give darkcookie money for him to make content for this game have been scammed, because he took the money and did not make more content. there is in fact less right now.
however, in stark contrast, when a simps give the e-thots money to take off their clothes or get in a hot tub, the thot actually takes off her shirt or gets in the hot tub... thus they were not scammed and got exactly what they paid for.
regardless of how you value the... uh.. product? (personally ive been i pirate for over a decade and pay for nothing) in your example, the simp gets exactly what he wants, but with darkcookie there has been nothing worth anything in 5 years. they do not get the product they paid for, thus definitionally it is fraud. that is to say, a scam by all metrics.
More than 8 years making this video game... Will it be ready by 2030?

absolutely not. the man, the myth, the legend, darkcookie would never under any circumstances allow this gravy train to dry up so quickly. it will continue for a long time, even then the game wont be finished until the money dries up, and even then it will just get the abandoned tag as it will be left in whatever state it is the moment the money stops. thats how a peak performance scammer like the big DC rolls. always maximizing cashflow and minimizing effort like the legend he is. he's a true inspiration.More than 8 years making this video game...
