Yeah, but don't expect it anytime soon. Going back to rpgmaker, but still with koikatsu. This is just a weird little hobby of mine, so I really only do it when I have the motivation and the time for it.
Update on this: still trucking along, slowed down since I found full time employment, but picked up again this week -
Then the Itch.io thing happened.
Ngl seeing that news was a gut blow to me, as I imagine it would be to any adult game dev. Everything, just shadowbanned, every adult game. All that work, all that creative passion, just swept away because of payment processors and right wing conservative groups. It kinda leaves you with a hole in your self, of what do I do now?
Though for me, this is just an odd creative hobby. The only money I expect from this is just the odd tip from the pay what you want model. I can't imagine how it is for people who's entire livelihoods this is are feeling, and my condolences to them.
For myself at least, for now, I'll wait and see. I am glad I'm seeing pushback and the like from people, with calls to action to complain to the payments processors to not abide by this. When my motivation and energy returns, I can continue on with my next project, pending title "The Fall of Magical Girl Citrine." I'm using Koikatsu for images, and the engine is rpgmaker mz, which is functionally the same as mv, but with some nice QOL, which I appreciate.
