Also; some semblance of tips on how to progress built-in to the game would be really helpful. This is like trying to find easter eggs from an 80s point-n-click without a walkthrough, and it's honestly just excessively shit design.

They aren't. You're supposed to use the abilities tree to level your character up.

What kind of tips? You can access your quest log in your phone and it will tell you where to go/what to do.And if you miss something you can go back to the main menu,check your progress bar and it will show you in between which 2 checkpoints you should look.Reading the dialogue also helps,for eg-Mc will mention how he can obtain rebbeca's number,etc. For stuff like combat/investigation/dating/job you can click the "?" icon on top-right side of your screen and it will tell you everything.

Since I didn't beat Taurus (it honestly down to a bad shuffle of the skills) and I didn't see later that the Skill Tree had a reward for beating him, what does that ability do?

Just use the replay feature and go back to the warehouse to meet him again. No need for a full run through.

Oops! I forgot that saves are in the game's folder and not in /AppData like most of my other games. I forgot to transfer them before deleting the old version. Sigh.

Oh well. It's been a while since I played, so starting over might not be a bad thing.

Sorry for that ^^' We'll change the save location in a future version.

Just play the event and save after, no need to finish the episode. We'll add this information in the replay information in a future version.
