I love the game, bit behind cause I was waiting on mod updates then my computer crashed. Any work on the mod updates though? (the link for it shows it's fairly out of date)

The mod is not necessary to play, you will not miss any scene

Something to remember is that the academy is more of Mrs Powell's pet project. Its not necessarily about making a superhero team, but a place where people with powers might be able to learn some control over them. We can see this with the MC, Mrs Powell figured out that his powers would take time to replicate the powers of others, and those who had a greater degree of control would transfer faster than others. Its why Mrs Powell was always knocking the MC down during exercise and helping him up, as well as other touches like fixing his collar, she was microdosing him. While Riley didn't know, she was effectively doing the same, massages and kisses and sex. But its also why he's having trouble replicating Valentina and Chrys' powers.

Actually now that I've said it, I've just realised Mrs Powell wasn't making a place to help develop a superhero team, she was making a place to create a single superhero. And with the way Shiro has been acting, I'm starting to suspect Mrs Powell has known about the MC for a long time, not his powers but that he's Harsh-Light's grandson. And Shiro is pissed that Powell didn't tell him about MC's grandfather. Because then he'd have a target for revenge.
Based on the conversations in the last couple of updates, it seems to me that Mrs Powell had quite a lot of objectives with all of this. In the newest Harper-scene she talks about her fear that Mrs P. didn't want her in action because of what Mrs. P would do if they ever found Harshlight. I really liked that conversation and MC handled it perfectly, but i suspect that partially Mrs Powell just didn't want to risk her daughter getting killed in action. So just as the Iron Shogun built a tower and locked himself and his daughter inside, the Queen started an Academy for the same reason, but with a bit softer execution. Old friends had similar trains of thought.

Credit to Solace in all this: he was smart about the way he wrote things, because we know some things Queen knew (like how MC's power works), but there is quite a lot of room for speculation and guessing on some other subjects.
For example i don't think that Mrs Powell knew that MC was Harshlight's grandson, but there are still several possibilities:

1. She suspected that MC is related to Harshlight, in which case it's best to keep the boy around to keep and eye on things.
2. MC absorbed Harshlight's power quickly, and so he met him in the last few days at most, which is the best clue she had for a decade now.
3. MC absorbed Harshlight's power over time, which would mean that they are in contact and that can be investigated.

But the best part is that in the end the smart conclusion is the same in every scenario: If even the Queen thought about using MC to find or kill Harshlight then Shiro would absolutely do so too and regardless of anything else, that would put MC's life at risk (either by Shiro or Harshlight). She had to take MC with her and figure the rest of it out later.

But if we are at cross-fandom debate: is Lovestruck an orc for machines or does she turn the machines into orcs that think they work?
If she wasn't also throwing lightning, I'd think her power gave machines life in some way since that is kind of what the MC did with Artemesia and how he makes the motorcycle work. But that doesn't explain the lightning? Unless lightning is the "spark of life" sort of Frankenstein-via-cinema thinking?

That seems to be the case.
BTW Lovestruck's power didn't just move her bike as it was explained recently, but it made it "work as it should", MC might have created Artemisia's personality because he always considered her to be a person and a teammate and that is how he thinks she should work.
So aside from just making devices behave in unusual ways, Artemisia might have been a special case here.

Electromagnetism would explain a few things, including the "lightning".
It could also explain the bike generating ozone exhaust.

Fairly sure it doesn't explain giving a VI actual sentience, though. I guess we can chalk that one up to chaos theory or something.

I wish MC use his power more before the game finished. His power literally mimic and we only see him use super strength.

For this team, some kind of superpowered puzzle solving would fit much more than the x-men combat training.
they wouldn't even be allowed to look at danger room's direction and they'd have hard time with any villain.

Doesn't their patreon say this game is on hold indefinitely?

EDIT: I'm sorry. Are there two games with this same name?

The PNG (placeholder name games) Patreon has a game called Superheroes Suck. It isn't the same game as Solace's. I found it by game name.

Yeah, there was a game with the same title that was released a couple of years after this one. The other dev claimed he didn't know about this one and quickly changed its title, so this is the only Superheroes Suck available in the forum. I'm guessing he never changed it on Patreon, though. But as you saw, it was abandoned anyway. You can find Solace's patreon in the OP

Their active game (wolf in the mansion) is also hard to find within the zone. Google finds it better
The "on hold" game was renamed to SHS for now. I don't know much about it,only saw it in passing. But the forum search finds it quickly.

His ability doesn't mimic other powers. It literally copies them.

And it takes time for him to develop those powers, based on how well the person whose powers he's copied can use their own power.

He has Mrs Powell's super strength because she was microdosing him and because her powers were always on.
Riley however has been giving him massages for weeks and she's spent years developing her powers.
Felicity in cat form was sleeping on him for months, and because her darkvision power was always on, he's got a version of that.
Harper's telekinesis took several sessions of all day training because she doesn't have full control.
Lovestruck probably had the best control out of all of them as all she needs to do is suck on his finger.
As for Chrys and Valetina, neither of them have the best control, so it's going to take him more time to learn their respective powers.
