Right now it doesn't matter much and we'll have to start brand new saves in 1.0 later this year either way, even if not strictly forced because the earlier parts of the game will have changed. But for 1.0 I very much expect that Jake's fate will matter a lot more...the thing is that if you kill Jake then Mia will hate the MC, which right now it doesn't matter because Mia has no content but in 1.0 she most likely will. The main thing really and what it ultimately boils down to is that there is no down-side for sparing him but the could and probably will be consequences for killing him in 1.0.
Ell is a shapeshifter just like the mc though on a more precise level, Hendrick seems to have some variant of reality manipulation and Michael has only been shown absorbing various kinds of energy and using it as his own.
I knew Ella could shapeshift but I was unsure if she was just a shapeshifter like us since she's done shit like make monsters disappear by pointing at them.
Remember how the mc could change someone's body? Ella can use the same thing on monsters and superhumans, if they have less power than her ig.

Except Mia never will have any content worth seeing because she looks too underage and that is a big no no as far as Patreon is concerned.
Mia's character art will be completely changed in 1.0 which I suspect will solve the issue of her looking so young. So yeah, she will probably get sex scenes in 1.0 too. A lot of the early game art will be improved but Mia's appearance will change.
I wonder if he will change that much at the point of giving Mia a scene... I hope so but i find hard to believe.
We know Mia will undergo the greatest change of all as her character will be redesigned while the rest will only have updated art to make their earlier appearance more in line with later game art. And we know for a fact sex scenes will be added to earlier parts of the game. I don't think he would go so far out of his way to redesign Mia's look entirely if it was for nothing as he's not doing that for any other character.
It is a common trend with evolutions really where there is nothing like the imminent threat or death to trigger an evolution...evolution is not exclusive to imminent impending death but it sure is a good incentive for evolutions. So if you don't like that kind of thing then this might not be the right kind of game for you. I don't think we're done with that trend either...the MC at the very least will almost certainly get his 4th and even 5th evolution from near death experiences...and there will probably be more near death experiences where rejecting evolution is the correct answer. And then of course, evolution isn't exclusive to the MC, some more enemies might evolve and pull a reverse card on the MC when they are near death. Makes for really exciting and interesting storytelling but if that's not your cup of tea then you might not like the future of this game as I doubt that trend is stopping anytime soon.
It would be more accurate to say her power is matter manipulation. Hers, other people's, even stuff around her.
I still enjoy the story overall, I just feel like things get a bit stale when nearly every important superhuman enemy we face plays into those two tropes I mentioned. With how often they occur it takes some of the intensity out of the fight scenes since I know characters aren't actually gonna be dead or someone's gonna suddenly power up and force us to flee.
