After this update, MC would be related to Aglaecwif regardless of what he chose because of Syla.
Before the update:
MC would be Aglaecwif's brother, if the 4th is chosen.
After this update:
MC is potentially Aglaecwif's nephew and brother, if you choose the 4th.
If you choose the 3rd, you're Aglaecwif's nephew and cousin.
Hell, now MC's own mom is his sister. Since Syla claims to be the 4th's daughter. We focused on the 4th being his grandma, we forgot that now his mom is his sister too.
The incest is actually crazy. Since Aglaecwif is now his aunt and sister, their child is going to be his cousin/nephew or niece/son or daughter all at once. This is the most blatant display of an incest family tree in the game so far. Though, the 4th giving him a blowjob at the beginning would definitely qualify as incest after this update. Especially since she was his "grandma" already before the infection even happened.

For the new update:
Dialogue is unchanged. I'm not sure if it has updated art as I didn't play through it, I just checked the script for differences.
For those who have eaten Jake, during the Authority event you have the option to free him or leave him be.
The variable which tracks this decision was bugged, so whatever you picked, the game stored the opposite.
If you haven't eaten Jake, this doesn't affect you.
How to fix:
1. Restart your 0.97 save.
Duhh..
2. Through console
Enable console and launch the game.
Load your infected save.
press shift+O
If you want to free Jake type: "freedreamjake = True"
if you want to leave Jake type: "freedreamjake = False"
Close console with Esc.
Save your game.
Make sure to not accidentally rollback the scene before saving, because the variables will revert to their earlier values.
At any time you can check the value of the variable by typing "freedreamjake" in the console
To enable console, open this file with any text editor:
Superhuman-0.7.6-pc/renpy/common/00console.rpy
change the line "config.console = False" to "config.console = True"
and save.
Everything inside "" is case sensitive.

In the couple of weeks after Valravn the game slows down a lot. It picks up the pace again when HERO attack the Hexenringe's dimension. If you haven't reached that point, keep playing. If you have reached that point and you still think the writing took a dive, then I doubt that you will continue enjoying this.
There's a good chance MC will share a dream with Danica in the next update when exploring the 11th Apostle. She is the only character we know except Evander, with powers that could possibly fit the trait.
Incest is the basis of godhood and kingship.
Or wait, was it the other way around?
I wish this game had proper background art. I mean I get it will add a ton of time to the development, but it would add so much. Maybe an artist or two can come up with some backgrounds for different locations for the game? Maybe paid with patreon funds or something.

Because I was looking through the dialouge for the section with her, and things don't quite add up for me.
So, the section I remembered being pointed to for the hinted at connection says, as of the latest version:

Aglaecwif: "Swa þú eart offspring of þæs fēowerðan ēac? Hm, how mysterious... "
chatgpt translation: "You are the descendant of the fourth ancestor? Hm, how mysterious..."
(If spawn of the third)

Aglaecwif "Eart þū ofspring þæs priddan ēac? Thy grēata hlāford traveleth far and wide, nis hit swilce?"
chatgpt translation: "Are you offspring of the third also? Your great lord travels far and wide, is it not so?"
Now, none of this seems to suggest a direct connection between aglaecwif and the fourth, but I could obviously be mistaken or missing something.
With that in mind I went searching through the backlog of posts and hit on an earlier discussion about this particular section, and noticed something curious.
Assuming this is a direct quote from the code/game from that time, it would seem like the dialogue was altered in subsequent updates to change the meaning of what aglaecwif says.
Thoughts?

IIRC, another reason people thought Aglaecwif was of the 4th's lineage was that her English got significantly better after the MC had sex with her, indicating she could read people's memories like the MC can.
