My impression is that it is more than one murderer. Just general monster predation being all lumped together as "a serial killer"

Perhaps the mafia is involved in the murders? Or maybe some and the others are committed by a different party? Seems like a ton of shady characters out there

That actually makes sense. The gov would have reason to keep a lid on monsters killing people so they give a cover up story to the unknowing masses

You know, I've been thinking about this for a while now. What's the end goal for these corrupt individuals who make these Monsters and Superhumans? Like they're already as powerful as the world allows them, in terms of wealth.
Is it to be physically powerful. I mean that sounds good on paper but you would think that with all these potentially powerful beings lurking around. It would make them hesitant of tampering with those Monster's species, if they aren't man made. Or is it longevity and Immortality thing? That also sounds good but eventually the world will be destroyed, whether naturally or by self inflicting damage and they'll have nothing in the end.
This is all under the assumption that the more powerful beings aren't actually man made of course. Like for example that Purple Elf/Pixie. I doubt it's man made. If they were all experiments than i guess it's worth the risk. If it's not and they're Alien like beings then i feel they're going to draw in something so horrifying that the entire world would be destroyed.
I'm not asking for spoilers, when it comes to the plot or monsters origin. I'm just putting my thoughts out there. I just found it interesting that with either of these possible things, no one, at least that we know of currently, sat back and thought of the legit consequences. Then again, they're corrupt for a reason.

Wealth is pretty trivial. Especially when at any time a monster or a superhuman can kill you. Or heck just some gunmen.
The ability to defend yourself against monsters, against superhumans is paramount. Especially for someone used to being on top of society.
Plus a lot of groups wish for conquest or expansion.
For example that one mafia organization has been nurturing some superhumans and used it to utterly decimate their organized crime opponents, vastly expanding their reach and power. I would not at all be surprised if they would later branch into politics.

Yeah but I'm saying they still have to take into account the more powerful beings that are out there. The man made ones, while powerful, will be snuff out by those truly powerful beings. We saw how powerful that Pixie was, who wasn't even at full power. There's also that other one on the Dead end that crushed that monster and us with no problem. Even Ella feared it to the point where she gave up on her sanity. Now imagine an even more powerful being from their species.
I'm not sure if the Dev is going to really go into it though. Who knows, that could be the reason they want powers in the first place to defend themselves. We haven't seen the full extent of how powerful these organizations are yet. They might even have an Insanely powerful monster with them that is the cause of all of it in the first place.
I guess I'll have to see how this all unfolds throughout the game.
Could be something like Umbrella Spencer original goal or the like inmortality human artificial evolution and advancement

You know because it's always mentioned that the inspiration was The Darkness and Prototype i never considered something like Resident Evil. That's actually pretty interesting. Though, i hope the monsters aren't truly man made. I'm hoping they're like Aliens or older beings that got found in hibernation. Them being completely a human creation would be bit too simple.
I rather a free for all. Humans with their engineered beings, The Monsters lurking with their own motivations, Superhumans fighting against them and basically our MC being thrown in the chaos.
Honestly it s really interesting and the art fits the theme well imo

IMHO I like it, if you like american comic books like the darkness, and videogames like prototype and infamous, is possible you like this one.
Is like those IPs but with porn and an high school story.

I think this is the best VN on this site pertaining to superpowers/heroes. It's not a borefest where powers are limited to shit like flight and super strength. I also feel that the art captures the dark and gritty atmosphere of the game, especially in fight scenes. Even the sex scenes are appealing in this art style imo. All in all, if you're interested a unique story, I would definitely say you should give this game a try.
