Yes, like a week ago. The download link is right on the first postHas the public/revised version been released?
You say that, but a lot of CGs of characters are them just standing in an A pose. It's quite jarring at times.I wanted to say that the use of AI by weirdworld is EXTREMELY good and is the prim-example of how it should be used. Look at the cgs alone. You can see the passion but also the crazy amount. The new sprites looks all great, far cleaner but still hot and the monster designs looks way better in the 2d/3d mixture style. I think what's really important about this is that AI is basically useless and looks retardedly bad for people that can't draw, but for those who are creative and can draw, it's a massive plus. Especially if they want to produce new content.
The amount of scenes and art we get is insane, in one battle scene you have like 300 different cgs, in which the people move around and shape-shift like 100s of times, interact with the environment and cause massive changes to it. In many scenes we're people just TALK we get unique cgs, not just sprite + background. Meanwhile in basically EVERY other game this would be 1 CG and like 5 sprites (which would be the entire update for the next 3 months lol). For me no other game comes close to the atmosphere and feel of the game itself. It's really a great implementation of AI + skill + love for the work, I hope he continues to deliver at that speed and quality. (Only critique would be lack of Fmc content but I guess we'll get more in the future.)
I bet on Ella's tit's he will return better than ever.MICHAEL! MICHAEL, DON'T LEAVE ME HERE! MICHAEL!
Michael will return, right?
right?
Well of course in both cases there is a certain level of strategy. without it Mc would have died ages ago. but I think Mc leans more toward the strategy urgency than planning thing. Obviously most of Mc's fights, he was just thrown in the fray. the only one which I think he planned ahead for was with Jake. So, would it be fair to say the Mc is a tactician, who forms a loose strategy on the fly, based on what he knows about the enemy, and to maximize the power or tactic he's chosen to use? It goes along with the concept of strategic urgency Michael was talking about and how Ella told him shapeshifter should constantly adapt to their opponents in battle.
There is now both an uncompressed version available alongside the regular compressed version, which is about 1G. Its been said in the thread many times by now, just scroll back a few pages and you'll see it.15Gb!?
Why so big? It's just pics, not 4k video and just a few updates back it was about 800Mb!
Or him not wanting to get caught. I personally favor the view that the eye is rebellious and not the arbiter but some weird mix up. Imagine that instead of evolving from the 3rd and 4th apostles the eye actually devolved into a crude form of the arbiter. It was never clear to me if they were staying silent out of subservience or because the Eye had hijacked the connection. The Eye instructs the MC not to talk to them, but that could be it wanting him not to address the help, or it could be it warning him about drawing attention to what it was doing. The thing likes its ambiguous phrasing.
Well personally, I think Henri is a Truth/Fantasy split.Or him not wanting to get caught. I personally favor the view that the eye is rebellious and not the arbiter but some weird mix up. And the motive about the 3rd & 4th apostles being different was something i believe everyone caught onto but no one knew why. We do not see any 1st & 2nd apostle mixes or light & dark, creation & destruction etc. They all make someone their "Chosen" spawn for assumed resurrection/avatar control of that person.
Worm by Wildbow/John McCrae is one that I'd recommend to any fan of Superhuman. It's also a superhero deconstruction with cosmic elements.Anybody know of any VNs similar to this? Great writing, dark, plenty of action. Doesn't even have to be an AVN lol.

? Emily hasn't been relevant for about 6 updates now. Pretty much right after Doll Ella entered the picture, she became irrelevant and that hasn't changed. Only way Emily gets back in the picture is if she became a superhuman or monster. That's the only way WW will be able to make her relevant again with the monster invasion happening. Not saying I like the whole "make everyone superhuman" thing. I feel like it's forced in such a bland way. Especially when it's making everyone MC is close to directly connected to an Apostle or Chosen.Last time I played was around march. I hop on now to check this new version and theres only 1 new Emily scene. Is there at least new Emily bonding content or is it emilover bros?
People can be relevant without powers. You need to understand two things. The first is that we have been locked up in H.E.R.O. for an extended period of time, and only recently got out to have these interactions with our old college buddies. The second is that we have been trapped in the monster world for six months in game time, plus an additional few weeks where we were stuck in our own dreams at the S.I.N. base. Do not take these circumstances to mean that our old friends like Emily, Demi, Jess, etc. are no longer relevant. Especially since we know MC won't stay with H.E.R.O. forever.? All of that said. While I don't feel the Emily Bros pain. I understand you. A lot of girls got tossed as soon as the MC joined HERO. Which means their chance at getting scenes dropped tremendously. Claudia was one of the ones that I was hoping for a lot. But she just got a dream sequence after her sister wedding. Tiffany got some stuff during the Banshee hunt, but she faded back as well.
I definitely would've preferred Claudia and Tiffany being with MC in the monster world over Amber and Liz. That's just a personal thing for me though, as I don't really care all that much for the twin plot.
Is it safe to assume that time works differently in the monster world compared to the real world? Or can we say that the 6-7 months in the monster world are just a prior way to set up another arc once *if* they get back?People can be relevant without powers. You need to understand two things. I won't say it's impossible, but there are good reasons to assume that time runs relatively similarly. It means Algaecwif gives birth by the time we return; it means the world is put in a situation where shit has been going crazy for a significant stretch of time, during which their number one hero is MIA; and it means that it gives time to the other superhumans we left back on Earth to become more independent and grow their powers and abilities while we were gone. I expect our friends to have changed somewhat during the course of our forced excursion. As for whether this sets up a new arc, I really don't know. A reading of the ending text for this update seems to indicate that we have one more arc left, but we're also supposed to be getting v1.0 soon? I don't really understand what he wants to do.Is it safe to assume that time works differently in the monster world compared to the real world?
